Quiet break in East Lothian

The cottage was clean, well appointed and made for a pleasant stay. It is in the heart of the village with food and coffee shops very close by, and just a short walk to the local pub. The beach is 10 minutes walk away, and Gullane is a lovely spot to explore from.

Home to Home

Very quiet but active stay, walks to a few beaches in the East Lothian area, trips to North Berwick and Dunbar, Archerfield. Excellent meals from The Mallard Hotel, takeaway from Grace of India in Aberlady, weather was just lovely sunny and quite warm.

Lovely break in Gullane

Really enjoyable family week in Gullane. Excellent, comfortable well equipped dog friendly cottage in a great location close to all amenities. Beautiful Beach and nice places to eat within easy walking distance.

Visit for family celebration

We drove up from Wiltshire and were very pleased to arrive to such a comfortable cottage. It was very well placed for the party at Dirleton. An excellent choice altogether

Summerside Cottage

We chose Summerside Cottage as our base while in Scotland. Gullane is just a short drive away from the city centre. We chose to take the train from North Berwick which was easy.

Clean and well equipped cottage close to main street of Gullane. The central heating was a welcome feature during our October stay. Shower over the bath was a dated feature but understand the owner is installing a walk in shower in the near future. Efficient clothes washer but no dryer.

Summerside in gullane

The reason for 3 on property listing is because it did not have a dryer and I specifically asked if it had a dryer. Other than that is we very good. Water pressure awesome. Thanks.

Perfect location

This property is in the centre of town but set behind the shops so although everything is on your doorstep, there is no noise. A beautiful beach and miles of dunes are 5 minutes walk from the door so if you have a dog it’s absolutely perfect. The parking space is tight but we have a mini so it was fine for us. The rooms in the house are all a good size and the kitchen has everything you would need. A great choice for a wonderful holiday.
