We decided to come to the Edinburgh Festival quite late in the day, so it was difficult to find anything that was not ridiculously out of our price range. We knew that we were going for something cheap, and our expectations were appropriate. However, the bed was very small and *very* uncomfortable with access from only one side. The shower was tiny; I am not a particularly big person, and I literally had to step out to turn round and go back in. It would have been potentially useful to have access to the kitchen and dining area, and it was good to have a fridge, but sadly, there was no crockery or cutlery, making it largely useless. Also, the kitchen was stiflingly hot because the window did not open. Access to the room was made difficult by the fact that only one lift went up to our floor, but there was no way of choosing that lift. So you had to press the lift button, wait for a lift to appear and send it up to the fifth floor, then you had to press the lift button again to get the other lift so you could go up to the sixth floor. Laughable, really. It describes itself as being for adults only, and they are very fierce about checking your adult credentials, but once you get there, it's not really designed for adults. It's very definitely student accommodation. It's not really a hotel. We definitely wouldn't go back.

Theres no portable water kettle in the room so you need to go to lobby for hot water, door slamming can be heard quite loudy, otherwise the place was convenient to attractions and staffs were helpful. We have a lovely stay.

Good location, cheap price and friendly staff.

This hotel is located not too far from the city centre and not to far from Arthur's seat so you can get to a lot the the main attraction within walking distance, without the price of the hotel being too high. The staff inside is friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I loved the location. The tram was just across the street so it was extremely convenient to get around. It was also within walking distance to downtown. Our room was perfect for the two of us with a nice up to date washroom and shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

As stated by the name, this an affordability-focused location. It's a student residence so everything is "just enough". The location is amazing! It's right in front of a tram stop too so if you need to go further than downtown, you can and it's not expensive.

The cost is very affordable compared with hotels. This is a modern student room. The bed is very narrow for two adults. There are countless restaurants and businesses within walking distance. The street is very noisy; in the summer, you'd like the window open for air, but the noise is hard to bear.

Great position. Surrounded by all amenities. Walkable to all we wanted to see We were on the third floor with great view but would have loved the outside of the windows to have been a little cleaner so we coul have enjoyed it more. Realise this could be difficult but thought the widows were reversable.
