"This was an incredibly nice house to stay on the river. The inside of the home was spacious, comfy and very clean upon arrival. It's a very well-kept home. The hot tub was a fantastic addition since we booked the place back in January, and it was a great amenity to wind up having. We used it each night! The house is easy to get to and is in a convenient location to town. The steps, as described are indeed steep and numerous, so this wouldn't be the best option for anyone with mobility issues, but otherwise, it's a truly great home. The enclosed/gated deck was wonderful for the dogs to spend some time outside. We would definitely stay there again."
"Great cabin. Location at top of mountain. Be sure and have a vehicle which can climb the roads. Read description of property-can not get to on crutches or in wheel chair!! Great view. We enjoyed - had a problem which was not ours or owners and owner stayed on top of it and in communication with us."

"This home was perfect for our trip to the mountains! It was clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed hiking, tubing in the river and spending time in beautiful downtown West Jefferson. All members of my family agree, we will rent this home again!"

"We enjoyed our three night stay at Cabin Fever. The weather was foggy and rainy for most of our time, but we enjoyed the spacious living room and fireplace when we weren’t out and about in Jefferson and the lovely town of West Jefferson. You must pay attention to the directions to the cabin. Once you get there, it makes sense but you can’t rely on a GPS as it states. Lots of curving little roads!"
"The owners do stay upstairs. Think it is good to make sure that the places taken care of better. There's a motherly feel with the property. Like somebody really was trying to take care of you making sure everything you need is there. Call the little things like extra things in the bathroom and kitchen even a really nice big TV. And it's very safe driving up the road to the cabin. I had a problem with another place I have a leave early cuz I could not drive up there so dangerous. It's actually very safe for wide world is lots of gravel and it's not very steep"
"The property is in a quiet location close to New River State Park at Elk Shoals. I enjoyed rocking on the porch and listening to the river below! The birds were visiting the yard and singing beautiful songs. The house is very comfortable and relaxing. The decor is heartwarming! It's a short drive to West Jefferson where we enjoy eating at Hillbilly Grill and Smokey Mountain Barbecue. We always make a stop at Ashe County Cheese Factory. We found different places to get ice cream every day! It was so peaceful and restful at the cabin! Can't wait to go back again! "
