「My husband & I were on our way back from a Nashville, TN vacation when we stayed in the carriage house in Springfield, IL. Check-in was easy & property owner was easy to work with. We slept great on the King size bed.」

Bathrooms are like a jack in jill style, one toilet off common area and other off master bed room which lead to a shared tub/shower. We really liked this with details noting only one full bath. Use of the garage was nice also. Neighbor was very quiet. We also tripped on the rug under the dining room table many times. Thank you, we had a great stay」

「The decor of the property was very retro. We stepped back into the 1970’s, which was cool. I’ve stayed at VRBO properties that tried to do period-specific before, but went all in, in ways that detracted from the experience. But this property wasn’t like that. The TV was “smart”, which guests have come to expect. The beds were also comfortable, which is a must. It was a fun stay.」

「This house is close to downtown Springfield, has nice rooms, and the kitchen, dining, and living spaces were open (allowed for conversations between rooms while preparing meals). Overall, a solid rental for my needs!」

「Pros: Beds were comfortable with bedside tables and access to outlets, carpeting looked new. Great location to local attractions and restaurants. Felt like a safe neighborhood. Driveway fits two cars, with street parking available for more. Owner very responsive to questions. Cons: Needs better attention to cleaning (windowsills were very dirty throughout, air exchange vents were either super dirty or rusted); Could use a table and/or luggage racks in bedrooms. Upstairs bathroom had a walk-in...
