6/10 Okay

"Tara was wonderful, had great customer service skills. As far as the property is concerned, I was quite irritated that people are allowed to stay in their cars with their animals but I have to pay for a room? Seems more like motel 6 behavior which is right next door. There was a late model gold/brown Tahoe in the parking lot that someone was clearly living in and a broken down old car with a flat tire and 4 dogs in it, right outside my room window. How did no one notice this as it definitely wasn’t the first day in was parked there? The dogs would bark when someone would walk by. I was hoping this was a fluke and not a normal thing at this hotel as I don’t like staying in Casinos and their busy parking lots. Well I stayed again 3 weeks later and at least the car with a flat tire was gone but the Tahoe was still camped out in the parking lot. I’d stay at Shutters just down the road instead. Just as clean, new and nice but no one camping out in parking lots ."

"Well, the price was good. But take your chances. When we first arrived you could not make it into the lobby without moving through a cloud of smoke. There is no smoking in the motel, but they allow folks to smoke right outside the doors. That means that besides the main entrance, the hallways also smell of smoke. Upon checking in the lady that was helping me assigned us a room, when the other lady at the desk told here that she had already put someone in that room. So they ended up getting another one for us. But the trouble with that was that we were a group of five, so the room that were got was only made up for 3, not a big deal really. Just showed somewhat unprofessional. Probably lack of training. The maintenance of the facility is not good. The room we stayed in had in the past needed a repair to the drywall on the ceiling, that repair was done very poorly. And the ceiling was still bubbled down. Either the patch was made to an area far too small or a larger portion of the ceiling is now failing. There was drywall mud stuck in the carpet over by the sink as well. There were several locations where the ceiling tiles were off in the hallways and what looked like leaks. Lots of little this like card readers coming off of doors and such. But a major thing was that there was a "repair" made to the hand rail at the pool with DUCT TAPE! I work at a facility with a pool, that is a huge safety violation. It also looks as the carpets have not been extracted in years."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this motel. What stood out most was how VERY quiet it was, especially being in “downtown” Elko. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was very convenient. The A/C worked great and was not overly loud, which made the stay even more comfortable. The breakfast was decent and included fresh coffee, fruit, yogurt, juice, muffins, toast, oatmeal with milk, breakfast sandwiches, and waffles you could make yourself. Overall, for the price and location, this is a great motel to stay at. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"The room and property were fine for the most part. It was clean and decently maintained. The entire room feels compressed. Two items that stood out to improve: at night the light form the front of the property penetrates into the room making it bright at night; and the noise from the upper floor is significant - every movement or action from upstairs is heard as though there is nothing at all to absorb sound. So, its frustrating being awoken throughout the night."

"Room was clean, price was reasonable. Had a problem with the air conditioner- used it to cool the room- work ed first but then never came back on. Got warm during the nite - very uncomfortable sleeping. Breakfast was very basic and no place to sit and eat it. Review were really good but it did not live up to those high reviews. I would say 5-6 out of 10!’"
