"We all absolutely no complaints on our stay, the properly was cleaned for our arrival and we even had a cake with some wine left for our arrival. I only gave 4 stars for accuracy of online listing due to the maps location on the posting did not match where the location actually was and we got a lil lost but a quick call with the host and we found it. "

"The property was the best we’ve ever stayed at. It was very handy for the town but in a very quiet spot. The owner was very friendly and informative. We had a very relaxing break and would highly recommend. "

"Lovely place to stay, very well equipped and even though it's small did not feel cramped. Big plus to me was the very hot powerful shower! Excellent outlook onto a park and the river. Main Street of the town 2 minutes walk away with excellent food / butchers / bakers. "

"Exceptional property, well equipped, comfortable beds, plenty dining and lounge seating. Spotlessly clean with lots of little extras- afternoon tea home baking and breakfast left by host. Sebastian was an excellent host welcoming and available. Highly recommended"

"We arrived very late in the evening about 9:30pm and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or more helpful. They recommended a local takeaway that delivered and allowed us to eat our food in the bar and have a drink. Our room was huge and very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back."

"Just stayed one night on the way to Edinburgh and it was great! Our room (in the old school house behind the pub) was small but had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed. We had dinner in the pub and the food was fantastic (and great "desert cocktail" too!) Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Excellent stop off!"

"This was a beautiful hotel! It is a historic building so it has it’s quirks but it was neat to stay here! The staff was friendly and this one included the free breakfast. The only thing I would caution is the room was a long way through a maze of stairs and corridors so if you brought múltiple suitcases and have a car then plan ahead and only take what you will need and be wearing the next day in your smaller case otherwise this place was fantastic! I think they may have offered to help with the bags - if you have all your bags, take them up on that! This one is also the only one we stayed at on our two week trip where parking wasn’t a challenge - they have a large lot! "
