“The friendliness and professionalism of staff was outstanding. They seemed to take a genuine interest in the wellbeing of guests and our rooms were amazing. The location was superb in the old historic part of town. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. We will definitely return and recommend Hotel Baseltor 150% ! “Except from some tiny issues, the hotel is really wonderful. Receptionists are extremely friendly and very helpful. Hotel' restaurant is serving very good foods, location is only 5-7 mins walk from train station. Beautiful river view from window, free beverages and fruits is really a plus! If you have a light luggage or capable to handle heavy one by stairs, the hotel is what you really need. My room may too close to the railway as it shaked whenever the train pass-by, but I am OK with that. I……

“Das Zimmer war sauber. Wir hatten das Dachgeschoss Zimmer, mitte Juni, sehr warm, keine Klimaanlage. Es gab einen sehr lauten Ventilator. Das Dachfenster ging nicht richtig zu öffnen. Ansonsten war es eine gute Unterkunft für die Durchreise nach Italien.”

“It was the hottest week in years; no air conditioning and no fans. The staff was friendly and helpful. Since you have to go through the Mexican restaurant to get to the hotel rooms, we had a difficult time leaving early on the day of checkout.”

“Rommet var det beste med hotellet, super fint og rent rom. Hotellet var ellers litt halvferdig og frokosten dårlig. Ansatte spiste også av frokost buffé under «rydding» og virket sur. Ellers var de i resepsjonen hyggelig og hjelpsomme.”

“Church bells chiming every 15 minutes, I should have inquired. Breakfast is simple as could be, in a windowless cellar room.Staff unfriendly when asked for help. Room had builder's issues. This was communicated with owner in person.”

“We were unable to lower the temp so it was far too hot for us when we couldn't get it cooler after being so over heated all day. We are Canadians so we are not accustomed to the heat and the strength of the sun here in this heat wave. The lady at the dest was wonderful and the restaurant was amazing. The staff at the restaurant had us laughing and we really enjoyed being able to have such a wonderful experience right there at the hotel”
