The bed was comfortable. After finding out there was no hot water and discussing this with the staff we were treated to a delicious apertivo in the bar. If I had not had a discussion with the staff we would not have received any compensation for our inconvenience.

There was no hot water when we arrived until the following morning because of a breakdown in the boiler. They did compensate by giving us a free aperitif which was very generous. Our bathroom needs a redo especially a new shower, black mold. The breakfast was excellent. Christina was our greeter and very helpful. Felt bad for the staff with the water situation.

Very nice hotel. Honestly speaking it looks amazing on pics but is different in real life. Not much, but still different. Nevertheless, it is very nice hotel and personnel. Breakfast could be improved a bit to add more variety of food. Rooms are not brand new and have some signs of age, but it is very old construction building and such things including the size of the shower room are small because of this reason. The neighborhood is quite and safe. Very close to Ferrara historic center.

The staff was very friendly, and we appreciated the overall style of the hotel, although it felt somewhat worn and dated. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room was nice and spacious. However, we missed having basic amenities such as coffee or tea-making facilities in the room. There was also no minibar, even though a fridge was available. At breakfast, we would have appreciated the option of sparkling wine. Overall, the experience did not match what we would expect from a five-star hotel—it felt more like a three-star hotel at best.
