“Excellent hotel, spacious rooms, great facilities, lovely spa and a beautiful breakfast! Staff were fantastic too!”

“We didn’t get off to the best start as arrived to find a notice on the pub door to say that there was no power and pub was shut! Had to call a number to book in, young man arrived and assured us that our rooms were unaffected and that breakfast would be provided in the morning. Room clean and comfortable, major plus was good sized bath towels. Breakfast was indeed provided, full English cooked fresh to order, Kevin was lovely. Only complaint is that we weren’t forewarned about the pub being……

“What a lovely place to spend time on you travels! A lovely property set in a rural location, great facilities and an excellent bar/restaurant. The weather was fabulous that day so spent the evening in the lovely beer garden, but indoor dining rooms/spaces also looked good. The welcome was warm and efficient (I’d only booked a few hours before turning up) and the staff really made the stay very pleasant/comfortable. Definitely a place to stay if you’re in the area.”

“The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. Hotel was quiet and calm just the way we like it, we stayed in the week so not sure what it would be like at the……

“I have stayed in the hotel for several time and always enjoy it. A great hotel if you want to visit the city. I never try to dinner but the breakfast is superb. Also a nice bar which provides great selection of drinks”

“Lovely location and tranquil setting. However our stay did not include breakfast and at £13 each we gave it a miss. Plenty of parking outside, although there were very few staff around, we had to call the hotel to get someone at reception.”

“Very convenient location, 9mins walk from station and 7mins walk to start of shopping area. Room was pleasant with lovely large bathroom. Clean bedlinen and comfortable bed. Shower was excellent and spacious. Nice to have coffee machine in room. Breakfast was very good and done to order. My only issues were that to access my room i had to use an outdoor fire escape and walk across roof - this was safe and easy to do but not ideal with luggage, nor was it welcoming. The restaurant next to the lodging was amazing, staff were so nice and helpful and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back.”

“Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board.
