“Great place to stay and would do so again. Clean, safe, secured outdoor parking, friendly staff. Short walk to the city walls and tourist attractions. The meals at the restaurant downstairs were average and my fish & chips tasted very fishy/not pleasant and the chips were soggy & greasy. The worst meal I had in the 3 weeks of travels.”

“We stayed at The Ship for a special wedding anniversary. It’s an exceptional hotel in a wonderful area which has a unique atmosphere. The hotel food is good with a menu that changes over the seasons. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice from pastries and cereals to full English. The rooms are well furnished and comfy and the tea, coffee and biscuits topped up daily. For bird watchers the estuary is worth a visit and in the room we chose the hotel thoughtfully provided……
