"We were in the cottage room 26 .we were the road side .There was nt a prolem as didnt hear the traffic .But the room needed updating .the bedroom was very small with 2 single beds .which probably would have been better with a double .the bathroom was also very small with shower over bath .But saying that it had everything that was needed .we just stayed the one night and only slept in the room .we found the hotel very well run nice staff. The bar lounge and dining rooms in the hotel was lovely .The breakfast was definitly worth it .very nice and plenty .I would stay again but probably would recommend staying in the hotel ."

"Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly, rooms a bit dated and bed uncomfortable. Went for a wedding at clearwell castle but struggled to get a taxi back to the golf club."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Forest View. The house was spotless, cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The little touches like tea, coffee and milk on arrival made it feel very welcoming and homely. The location was beautiful and perfect for visiting the Forest of Dean and Puzzlewood. Andy and Teresa were fantastic hosts — friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with from start to finish. We genuinely couldn’t fault anything and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for families or anyone wanting a peaceful getaway 😊"

"Was unsure if had to bring our own bedding but bed was made up for us. Great stay, surprisingly comfy beds for a single bed. Pizzas were stunning and breakfast was great too."

"Lovely stay in this shepherds hut. Quiet and relaxing. Walked to a near by pub for some food, enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit and owners even let us borrow a charging cable for our electric vehicle. Some lovely welcome gifts too of wine and cake. Everything we needed for a lovely romantic and relaxing break away. Thank you Mandy."
