Visited during school Easter holidays. Ben Klibreck lodge is in a perfect location for spectacular views over Findhorn Bay. Our kids loved the drive up through the farms and seeing the horses, sheep and pigs. The drive up the hill is well worth it when you arrive to see the views. We were very lucky with the weather during our stay, which also meant some fantastic sunsets from the balcony.
The 2 lodges are far enough apart, and well positioned, so that you don’t really see or hear your neighbours, this is something we always look for, and is often hard to find – somewhere quiet, remote, not overlooked, with fab views and a hot-tub – Burgie ticked all our boxes.
The lodge is very modern, still looks and feels quite new, and was spotlessly clean. Everything you will need for a nice break away from it all. Heating and hot water very easy to work, and the hot-tub was perfect for relaxing after a busy day out exploring.
We loved watching the pheasant walking around the field in front, and would always look for him when we heard him chirping. The crow knocking on the door at 6am on two separate mornings also made us laugh.
In short, we really enjoyed our stay and won’t hesitate in recommending Burgie to friends and family 😊
