Great place!!! We knew the area so knew we wouldn’t be super close to Times Square..loved the quiet / more private beach area beautiful spot on the island….. A lot of steps for the house for anyone older would be the downside of the house. That is the ONLY negative.

The house was 5/5 stars - clean, well maintained, quick walk across Estero Blvd to the beach. Bring salt/pepper/spices/coffee filters, but otherwise the kitchen had all the dishes, appliances, etc we needed. Lots of soft towels and linens and extra beach towels for the pool. Nice screened porch to sit in. I gave it 3/5 stars for the lack of a heated pool. We chose this house because they advertised a heated pool in the listing title. We have been to FMB many times - last year in January and the heated pool in a different VBRO was warm enough to swim when it was much colder than this stay. The pool heater was not running when we arrived and it wasn’t running until the third day of our stay — after I had called and sent numerous messages. Even then the heater only ran for a few hours in the morning. If it’s summer and the pool will be heated by the sun or you can swim at the beach —then I would highly recommend! If it’s in a less warm time of year and you have kids that love to swim, then I would stay somewhere else.
