Spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on Thunderbird Lake, Cape Coral, Florida. Sleeps 8 people comfortably. Only damage from Hurricane Ian was the loss of 2 trees and the pool enclosure, which all was completely restored. No damage to house, boat, pool, etc. Everything still works great, including electricity, water, WIFI, etc.

COMPLETELY RENOVATED FOR 2020 SEASON!! New for 2020 is a 3rd bathroom, with all 3 bathrooms completely renovated. We are new owners, having purchased this home in April 2019, and completed extensive renovations for the 2020 season. See the 5 star reviews under our ownership. Reviews from 2019 and prior were under previous ownership.

Our home features a beautiful infinity pool which cascades in to a salt water lake. Your rental will include the use of a 21 foot hurricane power boat with 115HP outboard motor for fantastic adventures in the lake, canals, Caloosahatchee River which leads to the Gulf of Mexico. Look for the playful dolphins chasing your wake, shy manatees, and unique Florida bird species as you enjoy the many canals and waterways. The required boat fee is stated as an extra under property fees. Full boat orientation will be provided. Boat rental in the area is around $1200, which makes the use of the boat a great value!

Cape Escape includes a large 65 inch flat screen Roku Smart TV with cable and a DVD player in the living room and another 55 inch flat screen Roku Smart TV with cable in the game room. Each of the 4 bedrooms includes a 43 inch flat screen smart TV with cable. One of the TVs includes a wireless cable box that we can be moved to the outside shelf on the lanai to view from the patio or pool. Wireless broadband internet access is also provided. The kitchen is equipped with the usual kitchen appliances, dishwasher microwave, coffee pot, and Keurig. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee while you watch the sun rise over Thunderbird Lake. Ceiling fans and central air-conditioning throughout offer a comfortable reprieve from the sun. The master suite features a huge en-suite bathroom with a huge walk in shower, double sinks, separate toilet room, and a built-in closet. Sliding doors to the lanai provide a beautiful view of the pool and lake and offer easy access to the pool for a morning swim. High chair, linens, and bath/pool towels are provided.

Our game room features an 8 foot slate pool table, along with a ping pong topper. Imagine enjoying a friendly game while overlooking the infinity pool and lake! If pool or ping pong is not your game we have a Wii console to test your skills in the video game variety. Newest addition to the game room is a 60-in-1 multicade arcade machine that plays all of your favorite arcade classics from the 80s, including Ms Pacman, Galaga, and Donkey Kong.

If the powerboat is not your speed, we also have added 4 stand up paddleboards for your use. The lakefront location is the most ideal place in Cape Coral for paddleboarding.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location

The house is perfect plenty of space we didn’t even use 1 of the rooms. Outside space is just perfect size to keep everyone together and what an outlook over the lake. Just beautiful!!Captain Brian helped us out with the boat when we got there. What an absolute Gent nothing was to much trouble and he got us up to scratch on the boat and we was out exploring in no time. The boat is a real bonus for this house it was fantastic having it at our disposal whenever we wanted Will return next time we come to Cape Coral

Fabulous Family Trip

Spent a week at this wonderful property with 5 other family members this past May. There was plenty of room for all of us without feeling like we were stepping all over each other. The house was clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the pool and cruising around the canals on the included boat. There are not a lot of properties that include a boat so that was our favorite amenity. Communication with the host, local property management team and the boat captain (provided instructional boating class) was timely and efficient. We also really enjoyed the family of burrowing owls in the neighbors front yard. The community was quiet and there lots of fantastic restaurants nearby. Fort Meyers Beach and Sanibel Island were just a short drive away and absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic house on the water

The house was lovely, exactly as it looked on VRBO. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean with everything you could want for a lovely holiday. The outside lanai and furniture was comfy and the views from the infinity pool could not be beaten. We had a lesson from the captain the morning after we arrived which really helped us make good use of the boat…. We had a great time on the boat and saw Dolphins every time we went out. We definitely hope to return to this lovely home some time soon

Excellent property. Clean, lots to do, very professional host.

As a family of four, both adults and children had plenty to do at the house. House was very clean upon arrival. House is as advertised. The host was very helpful and responsive. We are seasoned boaters but the session with the captain was well worth it, to learn the local knowledge. Neighborhood was very quiet. Would definitely go back.

Perfect Getaway!

Property was excellent for 2 adults and 6 teen girls! Pool and patio were beautiful. Beautiful view. Boat was great and so much fun to go watch dolphins or just take a canal/lake cruise. Close to Sanibel and Fort Myers beaches. Great game room area for all!

Everything you need for a family vacation

When entering this home, we immediately felt at home. Communication with the host was great, and Jim was quick to reply. Our adult children joined us for the week and they were never bored, from Wii (brought all the nostalgia feels for my family as they grew up with it), ping pong, pool table, arcade, outdoor space with the pool and dock area. Captain Brian was great in teaching us how to use the boat and accessing the channels. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and the amenities it had to offer and hope to visit again! It was a great vacation for our family, thank you.

Great Week!

We had an amazing stay at this home over Memorial Day Weekend. The home was just as advertised and was more than enough room for the 6 of us. my birthday party

time with my family is the thing I cherish the most. my daughter chose a place that was warm, had a boat and had a pool. we ate outside, swam from morning til night. we did two long days on the boat and saw dolphins and manatees as well as many birds. the kitchen is large and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. the owner was responsive and helpful

Tranquil and beautiful location

Just an overall wonderful home! Loved watching the fish jump in the evening and was able to enjoy the pool everyday. The house is quite spacious! Very nice layout and lots of windows overlooking the pool and water, which was so relaxing. The neighborhood is also very quiet, which was ideal for us. Would definitely love to stay again some time!

Nothin but rest & relaxation

My husband, myself and our 3 kids (17,19,22) stayed here on a much needed getaway. The house literally had everything we needed. The infinity pool facing the lake was fabulous! The morning and evening views of the lake were breathtaking. We did a fishing trip and a SUP trip which were only 25 minutes from the house. We loved that there was lots of restaurant, nature walks and beaches in close proximity of the house. The only thing that i didnt like was the bites from the no seeum bugs and the ants. But it is a tropical climate. We would definitely stay again. Oh, and the owner Jim was absolutely wonderful to email with!! We did take a drive to Sanibel island and Ft Meyers. The devastation from hurricane Ian was heart wrenching to see. It humbles you to see the raw power wind and rain have.

Best Family Vacation

PERFECT house for our annual family vacation. Walking in from the front door to a view of the infinity pool looking directly out onto Thunderbird Lake is stunning! The house is open but still private in the right places. The property is well maintained and very clean. Having garage access was a great convenience! The neighborhood is nice and quiet, with a few homes awaiting minor repairs from ‘Ian’ damage - mainly roofing. Being there in early August, it felt as though we had the lake all to ourselves! Captain Kelly provided our boating instructions and he was informative, thorough, and easy to talk to — he clearly loves his job! We took the boat out through the canals to open water several times during our stay, and that was an awesome bonus! It was incredibly hot, with record-breaking temperatures, but the pool was the perfect remedy!! The pool was very clean and bug-free - thanks to a couple adorable little gecko regulars hanging out on the outer screen! When we weren’t in the pool, we were inside playing “single-paddle-double” ping pong (a must-try!). We found some excellent places to eat including Masala Mantra, Keke’s Breakfast Cafe, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on Sanibel Island, and Rincon Cubana (doordashed). We went to Bowmans Beach on Sanibel Island and also visited Camelot Park where we saw several Burrowing Owls nests. We spent our last night taking a Sunset Dolphin Tour out of Ft. Myers. Best vacation house so far - highly recommend!!

Awesome vacation in Cape Coral paradise

We just returned from a week this property in beautiful Cape Coral. The house was just like it looked like online and had everything we needed for a week with family and friends. It was a great location and close to beaches and restaurants in town. We were able to go out on the boat almost every day which was the best part of our vacation. The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions or issues that we had, and we would definitely love to return and stay here again. Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this area.
