Great location- you can tour by car or just stay on foot.

We had a great time and it was so nice to be in the heart of Fortrose. The surrounding area was great, we are into beaches and there were so many to choose from, some just a short walk from the place.

Pleasant house in quiet situation

The house was very cold when we arrived and we have no doubt jacked up the electricity bill warming up the house. All necessary things were in place and we managed access well through the key lock box and left the keys in the same place today.

Perfect base near Chanonry Point

The property was very clean, well equipped and everything we needed was there. It was nice to have a garden as well. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms recently done up. We really enjoyed being able to just walk to Chanonry Point to watch the dolphins!

Handy location

Good base for our visiting around Inverness and Ft George. Loved the town. Would have enjoyed more uptodate furnishing of living room, but it was all ok for our brief stay. Thank you!

Great wee spot

The cottage was perfect for what we needed and safe for young children as described. Great location for the village and surrounding areas, we didn't have enough bin bags and some dirty towels were left on the back of the bathroom doors when we arrived. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it.

Few days away whale watching

A lovely home with all you could wish for. Comfortable, clean and spacious. A great host who pointed us in the direction of the IV10 deli and they didn't dissapount! If wasn't so far away we'd definitely come back!

Lovely well cared for cottage

This cottage was perfect for or visit to the Inverness area. It was spacious with parking for our car right at the door. It has a nice garden area, and was very nicely equipped for all our needs. It is within short walking distance to the local co-op store for groceries and travel items. There are walking paths down to the sea shore. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay.

Fortrose is fantastic

Our home was a cozy place to spend a few days, although we spent most of the time exploring Fortrose and nearby towns. The house fully met our needs for rest and relaxation after full days out. Not to be missed in Fortrose are The Anderson and IV10. The main bakery in town (across from The Anderson did amazing breakfast pies and pastries, too).

Three Canadians loved this cute, cozy cottage.

My mom, my husband and I stayed here in the middle of our 3-week trip through Scotland and this place was just what we needed. The cottage is all on one level and it's decorated beautifully. Each comfortable bedroom had a lovely ensuite. We enjoyed the picnic table in the yard and the dining room for games and meals. The kitchen was also great for us to cook breakfast, make our picnic for the day, and prepare for the next day's adventures. We recommend this holiday rental if you plan to be in the area...it's very clean, and comfortable, and your stay will be enjoyable.

Jewel on the North Sea

We enjoyed our dinner at The Anderson which was nearby, and the local Food Coop is a great place to stock up on supplies. The house is totally comfortable and the parking is no problem, you just have to back in the driveway. We could have stayed much longer, but it was great that the house was available for the days we needed.

4 days in Fortress

The property had a great deal of privacy despite being in close quaters with other.homes. A wall and fence enclosed the outdoor space providing security and privacy. The community of the home was noticeably safe and secure. We would recommend to the owners that they update the main living room area with brighter lighting, and more modern and comfortable furniture. Given the rainy weather during our stay a nice fire in the fireplace would have been cozy, but we couldn't use it because the stack was inoperable. Both the bathrooms were upgraded, and very nice. Adding some low cost wall mounted glass shelves in each bath would be a nice functional upgrade. Using the sun porch for having breakfast and coffee was a nice way to start the day. All in all a nice property; yet with a few changes to the.living room area it could be much better.

Lovely visit to the black isle

The property is most comfortable for a self cafering holiday. The kitchen has everything you need and the living spaces are well kept and relaxing. Charming Cottage

Great relaxing spot very close to the water. In a hurry up world nice to go somewhere that time slows down. Exactly what we needed. House was great apple tree in the back yard was a big hit with the kiddo. Walk to the water and all you need. Market, bakery and bar. Loved it!

Cottage at Fortrose

When we arrived the cottage was colder than we were comfortable with. I emailed Jane, the owner, who helped us immediately and we were sorted for the rest of the stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms nicely updated, good pictures, however I do agree with a previous gent who said that the lounge could be updated to match, but I guess that is just a matter of time. Overall we would definitely recommend.

Perfect base for area

Much more spacious than the photos suggest, very short walk to local shops / cafes and an ideal base if visiting beaches / golf / walks - all 2 minutes drive. Beautiful area . Host ensures you have what you need. Lounge furniture not far from needing updated but bathrooms have been modernised. Would happily stay again if in area.

Prefect little house to stay in for a couple days break. Perfect location for visiting surrounding areas plus a 2 min walk to the shops. Defo would recommend.

Property was a very well presented everything you would need secluded fenced in garden very safe for small children near to food store near to dolphin View Point. Only point if you go in April take your thermals

Nice place in a lovely location

We had a lovely time here - walking down to chanonry point and seeing the dolphins up close every day was a definite highlight! Fortrose is a nice village with very good amenities. Co-op is just around the corner which is very convenient. Overall a great place to stay for a few days.

Lovely little place

Great place, only 5mins drive from the coast where dolphins can be seen. 5mins drive to the beach also. Lovely bungalow, perfect for a family (just put the ornaments away from the hands of small children). Showers all work great. Heating works with electric radiators and all programmed. Amenities such as cleaning products, washing machine, iron, vacuum all provided. Had good instructions on check in and where to access keys. Garden is a lovely area to sit and enjoy sun when it shines. Feels safe. Parking for 1 car which is useful as no space on roads. Enjoyed our stay and wished could have been there longer.
