“Incredible property. The house has pictures and articles explaining its history. It’s nearly100 years old and does have its quirks but was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was well stocked with towels and the basics which we appreciate. Now the property itself it one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed and we tend to look for unique places. The listing undersells it. The cliff right off the back overlooks the pond and waterfall which had great flow - you could hear it from……

“This was a lovely rental in a breathtaking location. My whole family gasped at that view as we came over the hill and down the driveway! Could not have asked for a more picturesque front yard, and the sunsets from the hot tub were epic. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed, with two generously sized bath tubs inside and comfy beds. Great game selection (although some of the contents were mixed into the wrong boxes), and we enjoyed the ping pong table too. Communication……

“Our group of 7 (four adults, three kids) greatly enjoyed our stay. The house is in a beautiful location right on the river while also being only 20 minutes from Front Royal and 30 minutes from Shenandoah. The decks were lovely to sit outside and enjoy nature. We made use of both the hot tub and the kayaks multiple times. Property managers were responsive to our questions during the stay. A few notes for those thinking about booking: The hill down to the water is very steep, so could be difficult……
