"My wife and I had a great stay at Star View Cabin – Riverfront. It was just what we were looking for. The cabin had awesome views of the mountains and the Shenandoah River. We enjoyed watching sunsets and viewing the bright stars from the night sky from the hot tub. We enjoyed walking down to the river each day and we saw many animals, deer, eagles, rabbits. One night we had three deer within 20 yards of us in the back yard and we watched them from the spacious windows and sliding glass door above for close to fifteen minutes. We also got to catch a brief snow storm with the mountains as a backdrop. The cabin was nice and warm and had a good layout. We enjoyed running the fireplace each night before bed and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to get out and do some antiquing at local shops Nina was a great host and she was able to answer our questions and she had thought about all of our needs before we got there. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back."
"We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The current administration should invest funds in the National Parks, rather than divesting from them, and rather than spending untold, mismanaged, hundreds of millions on ballrooms and personal jets. This historied encampment deserves to be kept up in a more intentional way for our children and grandchildren. Can you imagine what Skyland would look like if just a handful of millions going toward a gilded jet were spent on the deep cleaning and deferred maintenance it requires? "
"What a Sscenic and peaceful stay at this cabin! The views were just incredible and so were the sunsets. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Our dog loved the walk to the waterfall down the road. Brian, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely book again! "

"The house was actually better than the pictures. We had a great time. Fire by the river, telling ghost stories and eating hotdogs. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely go back"
"Walden" Modern Cabin on 54 Riverfront Acres along Shenandoah River w/Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I stayed at The Walden from November 21st to November 23rd, and it was an unforgettable experience. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed inside and out. The views from the property are absolutely stunning, adding to the peaceful and romantic atmosphere. We especially loved the hot tub, which is conveniently located right off the primary suite—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery in total privacy. The short walk to the riverfront is another highlight. The area is set up with Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, and a grill, creating the perfect spot to unwind by the water. Although we didn’t get to use the grill this time, it’s at the top of our list for our next stay. The location is also great for exploring nearby Front Royal. Talk of the Mountain Crab Cakes served the best crab cakes—we loved it so much we went twice in two days! We also visited On the Cue Sports Bar & Grill, and you won’t be disappointed there either.Overall, we had a wonderful romantic weekend at The Walden. The host was incredibly accommodating, the property exceeded our expectations, and we truly can’t wait to book again. Highly recommend!"
"Solitude" Secluded 1 BR Cabin Nestled in the Woods w/ Hot Tub near Luray, VA.
10/10 Excellent
"Appreciated the great communication the host provided. We REALLY appreciated just how clean the cabin was. It was such a nice cabin to stay in for a quick 2-night get-away. It was the perfect layout and size for a cozy place for just the two of us. Hot tub was wonderful (and so clean!!!). The firepit with logs provided was amazing - something we do not have back home, and my husband really enjoyed building a fire both nights. It was very mesmerizing sitting out by the fire with a glass of wine. The bed was quite comfortable, and we both slept great. While we didn't get to see any wildlife while we were there, it was so neat to hear a fox "barking" the first night and then the "hoot" of the owls at night and in the early morning hours. Location worked great for us. We visited the new Buc-ee's in VA (only about an hour away) as well as drove Skyline Drive. I would absolutely recommend this cabin as well as the host being very easy to communicate with. "
