The house was exactly what we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone. When we had a little issue, the communication with the owner was immediate, and the issue was resolved quickly.

The perfect spot!

We hosted our youth group Winter retreat here and everything about this home was perfection! Communication with the host was so easy. The location is great! Just a short walk to the beach down the street, but views of the beach from the decks! Secluded and quiet. The 8 bedrooms are perfection and the open concept of the downstairs and ample seating for meals was just exactly what we needed.

Better than the pictures

This property was everything it promised and more. The beach spot is great, very clean, just across the street. Very clean and big house. Provided towels, soap, everything needed in the kitchen to cook. We were a big group that travels together very year, now we know our new spot to come every year.

Family Beach/Fishing Trip

My huge family stayed at The Compass beach house August 2nd-4th for our annual family fishing/beach weekend. There ended up being 25 of us total. Everyone had a comfortable bed in a nice bedroom with a huge tv and almost everyone had their own bathroom too. We enjoyed the sitting on the front deck watching the sunrise in the Gulf. All of the furniture is top notch and very comfortable too. The kitchen and living area are grand and spacious even with our huge family never felt crowded. There are 2 big dining tables that our family played games on and ate at as well. No regrets at all - we loved your home and thank you for sharing it with my family.

The living and kitchen space is a very large area that accommodated our large group without feeling cramped or like we were crawling over each other. The house is very nice and the AC worked great! We loved that most rooms had their own restroom.

We have stayed at this house several times and LOVE it! It's big enough for 26 adults. We especially appreciate the large kitchen tables and plenty of seating for everyone. We will be back next year!

We booked this spacious beach house to celebrate my mom’s 75th birthday, and it was perfect for our family of 23! The home was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out for large groups.The 2nd floor features a king bedroom with a bathroom, a queen bunk room with a nearby bathroom, a full kitchen, dining and living areas, washer/dryer, cozy sitting nook, and a beach-facing patio ideal for sunrise coffee.3rd floor, there are 3 king bedrooms (each with a futon and private bath) and 3 queen rooms with 3 twin bunks and private baths. All rooms have TVs, and the king rooms open to a balcony with stunning beach views.Extras include ample parking, a charcoal grill, reliable Wi-Fi, and comfy beds. Décor is simple and tasteful.Recommend you bring extra toilet paper, dish soap, hand towels, and washcloths if staying more than two nights, starter supplies are provided. Note: the home isn’t ADA accessible and has stairs to enter and reach the 3rd floor.Located in a peaceful area with a nearby convenience store and Walmart 15–20 minutes away. Andrew, our host, was responsive and made check-in a breeze (thank you)!We’d absolutely return for future gatherings. Highly recommend for large groups seeking a scenic, relaxing beach getaway!

Plumbing problems must be unfixable.

The location was great and easy access to the beach. The house was large enough for our whole family and was adequate except for the two toilets that did not work most of the time. When I contacted the owner about the problem he did not send any help the whole 5 days. The water is undrinkable so had to spend extra money buying bottled water. No mention of this was given in the house description but only heard the day we moved in.
