「Although the room was relatively clean, I did not feel safe not having a locking out door especially after recent incidents at Travelodge The hot water was lukewarm and hardly running out of the main sink tap Mattress was lumpy not that comfortable mould in shower on ceiling. Staff are very friendly unfortunately this is a very tired accommodation walls incredibly thin. For a pub with rooms, it’s on the expensive side」

「Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. 「A lovely hotel, slap bang in the middle of town, close to all pubs and restaurants and the Centenary theatre (20 minute walk) could do with a little touch up and repairs here and there. But excellent value for where it’s positioned and the staff are exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Lovely stay would book again definitely! 」

「Staff were fantastic. We had to get moved out of our first room due to bad sewer smell from bathroom. The second room was dated, dilapidated. Shower door handle loose, rain shower head broken and sprayed everywhere. Cracked tiles on the step to the bathroom. Stain on carpet under desk, bed was so uncomfortable, it was like a mattress that most would throw out. Not sure why more money isn’t being spent on the “servant quarters” bedrooms as this place had a great reputation. Maybe some of the...
