But when we arrived, the ladies of the inn quickly got us checked in and had the kitchen prepare dinner right before it closed. And the traditional Japanese dinner was amazing! I cannot say how much I appreciate the thoughtful service. "

"This family-run guesthouse is a good half-hour walk from the train station, although there are buses every hour from 9:00 to 18:00 (6:00pm) that stop at the bottom of the hill. The establishment can sometimes pick you up or drop you off. The shared toilets and bathing facilities are clean and separated by gender, but the tired slippers at the entrance don’t seem like a very hygienic alternative to one’s own shoes… maybe we were spoiled by staying in too many business and apartment hotels and...

"If you are looking for a true Japanese experience stay here. Wish we booked longer than one night. Very friendly staff and helpful. Felt like we were getting the full cultural experience. A bit outside of the city area but well worth it! "
