「The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton.」

「I have to say, this was a perfect stay. Single traveller. From arrival to departure, the staff and service were faultless The cabines are super. The attention to detail very good indeed. 「Had a lovely Halloween stay in Burley, such a great location in the New Forest. Really appreciated the friendly staff, lovely welcoming bar, and the superb Halloween decorations which really set the scene and mood.」

「Nice place to stay over where you can enjoy a pint and a meal!!」

「We had the most wonderful stay here - The room was perfect, and breakfast was somehow even better that perfect! Within our 2 night stay we became regulars at The Forester Arms right next door as well, what a great spot!!! I only wish we could have stayed longer. If I could give the Thatched Cottage 50 out of 5 stars, I would :)」

「I was solo female traveler and I really liked the property. I felt safe and the staff was very nice. I felt welcoming in the bar also and I didn't feel uncomfortable being on my own. Thank you very much for an amazing stay and I am definitely coming back!」

「Had a lovely, spacious room with a king size bed and lifesaving portable air con Very nice bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities excellent. The property is only a 2 minute walk from 3 pubs, 2 restaurants, a convenience store, tea room and the train station. But you hear no noise. There is parking outside the property.」
