Birthday in Galena

We spent the weekend in Galena celebrating our son and daughter’s birthdays. We had a fantastic time playing games, shopping, hiking with goats (so fun!) and eating way too much delicious food. The house was cozy with a great fireplace and hot tub. Our dogs also enjoyed their weekend away from home. We hope to visit again soon!

The house itself offers privacy and amenities! It was a great place to relax and get away from the city. We loved going into town and enjoying the local shops and restaurants. The historic atmosphere brought back memories of my childhood and how simple life used to be! We will be staying again!

We enjoyed a few nights over Spring Break. The house was the perfect size with a nice lay out. It felt private due to its location among the trees. Some minor details would have improved our stay (for example extra sets of towels and items for the kitchen such as tin foil and storage containers). There was also a very slow drain in the bathroom on the first floor. Overall, we liked the house and the listing was accurate.
