My friends and I had a wonderful time in Galena! We loved the location of the condo, and the pool came in handy on the hot days! We felt safe and secure, and spent most of our time in the screened in porch! :)

Girls Weekend

We traveled as a group of 6 women and had a wonderful stay! We spent time in Galena and Dubuque and had easy access for our day trips. The home itself was so cozy and clean and we especially loved how much space we all had to spread out. We cooked our meals there and had everything we needed. We spent hours talking and enjoying the sunset on the screened in porch. We would return!!

Wonderful Weekend

We had a great weekend getaway in Galena over the St Patricks Day weekend. This home was beautiful and very tastefully decorated. Everything was accurately shown and listed in the website. The home was one of the cleanest rentals we’ve stayed in and the layout worked perfectly for us (2 couples). Kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms were large and bedrooms were a very nice size too. Sheets and towels were top quality. A bonus were the two screened in season rooms that were on each level of the home. We would definitely stay here again while in the Galena area.

Oh my Gosh If I could I would give this property 10 stars. Gorgeous! Clean! Positive decorations everywhere. Comfortable seating! It’s like living in a tree house. It was well above our expectations! The pool was amazing. We are looking forward to returning.

Girls weekend

The property was beautiful, and the location was great. The resort where the condo is located is gorgeous! My only complaints would be that we send a message with a question before our stay and never heard back. Also a few more staples in the kitchen would have been nice. We cooked one evening and had to run to the General Store to purchase olive oil as there was not any oil or cooking spray in the kitchen.

If you come in summer, take the ski lift on Chestnut Mountain for a great view of the Mississippi valley.

Better then the pictures

This place is way bigger than what you see in pictures. Was so nice! The owner did change the code and did not tell the property manager so there was an absolutely small hiccup. Also, the cold air was blasting through the huge beautiful windows looking out to the lake and we did stay in the middle of winter so of course. seriously if that was the only wrong thing my point on how amazing this place is. I told my family we were coming back in the summer. The king room mattress was sooooo good and they had Delta products in the bathroom as a plumber's wife I can appreciate the quality.

Absolutely wonderful! Top to bottom just lovely. Appointed perfectly. The screened in porch was a primary reason we selected this home and it was well used! The only thing id say is that both porches had not been cleaned on the floors. Lots of bugs, beer tops. Not a huge deal but thought youd like to know. The pool was a really nice amenity. Thank you!

Room for everyone

We loved our stay! My husband and I brought four older teens and one kid. They comfortably had the downstairs to themselves and enjoyed having that private space. The two outdoor patios were great - everyone had a place to escape to if they needed a break from the group. Views were beautiful. Amenities were perfect! Host communication was very fast. Parking was easy. Quick walk to the pool. Area was beautiful. Lots to do in and around Galena. Highly recommend and definitely had enough to do for a whole week. Couple things to note: 1) NO swimming in Lake Galena. We couldn't find why, so we asked around. It's contaminated with run-off from area farms. Such a bummer because it's beautiful! It would be a great lake to boat and swim in. We didn't even use our paddleboards - just in case. 2) Bring bug spray! The gnats were horrendous (and they bite) Overall, WONDERFUL week with the family (and a couple extra kids) and would absolutely do it again.
