Wonderful family vacation

The property is as advertised. We came with 3 couples and 2 kids which gave us all our own space. The kids loved their room with the bunk beds and games/technology provided. Appreciated all the beach chairs, toys and wagons for transport. Beach access was very easy and convenient. Fire pit was great for s'mores. Owners were very responsive to all inquiries. Look forward for booking this property for next summer.

Fun, family trip

Our week staying at the Friendly Mullet was a fun, family trip. The quiet neighborhood, clean beach, and calm gulf water was great for small children. The rental was well stocked with all essential items and the gulf view from the covered patios was relaxing. The use of the beach chairs, wagon, and toy dump trucks were appreciated. We swam at the two pools each one time for a change of pace from the beach. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in your rental home!

Me and the family stayed at the Happy Mullet the first week of August 2025 and I can't tell you how great this place was for us! From the video games and bunk beds upstairs for the grand kids, to the balcony overlooking the beach and the fully stocked kitchen and outdoor activities all set up in the garage with the bikes and grill. This place was PERFECT for our little family getaway!The check in process was super simple! The wifi worked great, and the location could NOT be beat! The AC works extremely well and we were all very comfortable!If you have a family or just want to be close to the beach in a great and quiet neighborhood, this is the PERFECT place. I hope we're able to do this again next year!

Family beach vacation

This makes our 3rd stay at the Happy Mullet! Twice through VRBO and once direct through homeowners when we couldn’t stay the full 7 nights. It suits all our needs especially with teens. We also have a Yorkie and were able to bring her this trip since the home is dog friendly. Love that it is beach front and close to the walkover. We have made many memories here and we will be back!

Amazing home in Pointe West!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! It is a great location with easy access to the beach and beach club/pool. The home is wonderful with each room having its own bathroom. We loved the space. The kitchen was great for cooking and the outside porch was beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Family Summer Break

This property is as advertised and has easy access to the beach as well as lots of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable.Sand Toys for the kids, a wagon to haul your beach supplies, beach umbrellas and beach chairs, etc.So that keeps from having to haul all of that from home!

A Pearl of a Home

This is the best home. We’ve stayed here twice and it always has everything we need. Also had a problem the first year and the owner had it resolved in several hours! It definitely exceeds expectations! You will not be disappointed.

Loved our first stay so much we came back a few weeks later! Such an amazing property! Spotless and beautifully appointed… and the location is pristine. Gorgeous neighborhood and nearly secluded beach. I’m a sucker for new bathrooms and soft beds that remind me of my own house and this place does not disappoint!!

Beautiful property!

Gorgeous house in a lovely community. The ocean made for a fabulous view and the amenities were perfect. The beds were really comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. Every thing was super clean and well cared for. There was plenty of space and the layout was perfect. We loved it so much we’re coming back in a few weeks - and we’ve never stayed in the same place twice!

Beach house

Overall stay was good, wifi is really bad upstairs and the lower lever where the bonfire is. Can’t really watch any TVs or play games unless you’re in the first floor. House was clean everything was nice and organized. The bikes where a fun ride. The rooms where nice and spacious for all 9 of us.

Wonderful

This was our second time staying at the property - 3 generations of our family had room to gather and also retreat. We love it. We have stayed at many of the houses in this area and this is our favorite. The home, layout, location, supplies, cleanlines...all perfect - and the owners are lovely to work with. We will be back!

Galveston Getaway

Family vacay

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Beach club is fun with a great pool. Lots to do in Galeveston. Overall we had a great time from kids to folks in their 80s. Hosts were helpful when we had questions and easy to communicate with.

Christmas stay!

We had a great time. It is a wonderful time of year to rent a beach house. The weather was great. The beach house was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the beach. Pointe West Beach Club has a large pristine beach where no cars are allowed as well as many other amenities. The owners of our beach house were very accommodating, very detailed in house description and made check-in very easy. We look forward to returning.

Perfect Location

Such a great property in a beautiful location. We loved the back porches, well equipped kitchen, and proximity to the beach. Even with the holiday weekend there was always plenty of space for our family to spread out and play.

Great Vacay

We really enjoyed this house! It was very clean and so close to the boardwalk! Having beach towels, toys, umbrella and wagon at the house to borrow saved us so much packing space! The kitchen was well equipped and the kids loved having the master suite as their own hideaway. Pointe West never disappoints!

Lovely Private Retreat

We really enjoyed our time here as a family. The house was beautiful and comfortable with a lot of thoughtful attention to detail. We spent a lot of time on the beach and relaxing on the two balconies that overlook the Gulf. Highly recommend.

HM + Family=Fun

Secong stay at the Happy Mullet and we had a blast. The house is located steps from the beach and the club house provided a pool. AWESOME for celebrating with the family.
