"We were greeted when we pulled up and helped with our luggage. Check in was easy. The staff extremely helpful and nice. We were given a tour of the property while our luggage was taken to our room. There were bikes to use as you wanted. A nice swimming pool. Surf boards for lessons. A surf school on property. The room was large and clean. The AC only in the bedroom. Coffee maker. Dishes/glassware. We had reusable water bottles waiting for us in our room. Pack this souvenir on your way home. No TV. The only TV is in the game room. The walk to the beach was a little murky and definitely would not walk the path at night. Breakfast was good. The restaurant on site also had a variety of selections. The downtown area is a manageable walk, but if you drive, there is plenty of parking in the area. On our last night, we handed over our dirty clothes and, at no cost, were given back clean clothes within a few hours. Didn't have to drag home dirty clothes. Relaxing, eco friendly hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

"SOLO TRAVELER REVIEW OMG where do I even begin. this place is indeed as wonderful as it looks and as amazing as the other reviews state it is. the staff all knew me by name literally within the first day. this hotel has an energy that allows your nervous system to completely relax. the aesthetics, the lighting, the music. as a solo traveler without a vehicle, the shuttle was perfect, it leaves from the hotel every hour on the hour from 8am-6pm and it has I think 5 stops around guiones and playa pelada. I also walked a lot which was fine and took lots of tuk tuks! (local "taxis"). The daily yoga classes were so lovely and grounding, and wonderful for all levels, even beginners. The daily breakfast was great, lots of options, and the included OJ was 10/10. Overall this hotel exceeded all my expectations and thank you to all the staff! Only thing I could say is that I wish the staff had name tags because they all remembered my name but I could not remember all theirs : )"
Tranquil Jungle Nest Near Guiones Surf with Pool

"This was a really nice, super clean, home for my wife and I and our three kiddos while we were in the area. It is a 4 minute drive into the fun surf town of Guiones and all the associated restaurants, bakeries, surf shops, etc... It is also a two minute drive to a reasonably priced grocery store an the best ice cream our family has ever tried, ever, in our lives...Bobo Helado. This little gem is tucked back behind a few little shops on the main drag on the way into town...but don't miss it! You really aren't walking anywhere from this property as it is off the twisty/windy narrow Main Street that runs into town, but it is far enough away you'll drive. That said, this is a really convenient spot still, and the pool was a nice element with kids especially. Request check in instructions a few days out if possible as that was a little slow to arrive, but the hosts are really nice and accommodating. Also, bring some provisions like spices as there aren't many/if any in the house. The kitchen doesn't have an oven, and is a bit bare bones, but we cooked a decent amount there and got by just fine. The layout is great, and with the pool and good location, and affordability for what you get, we had to give this 5 stars!"

"This place provided all that we needed for a great price. Staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. And there was the sweetest cat that loves to say hi to the guests. If I return, I will bring my own pillow because the pillows were pretty hard but otherwise, it was a great experience."

"Trudy and Bob were wonderful hosts and their accommodations were resplendent: beautifully and playfully decorated, lush landscaping, awesome views overlooking the beach below. The guest house was like an artist’s small castle; the kitchen was well appointed. We were given a tour of the open-air market on Tuesday. We saw (and heard!) howler monkeys and coati and iguanas and vultures and hummingbirds, all inside the compound’s grounds, lots of exotic flora and fauna. There were several beaches nearby, each with its own different personality, sand and tide pools etc. Really a memorable trip!"

"We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We loved this section of the beach, the property and casita were perfect (it was raining mangoes, so lots of monkey sightings!) and the locals were beyond friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!"

"This property is AMAZING!! Coltin is the best VRBO host I’ve ever had and we travel a lot. Coltin is basically a travel agent. He setup our transportation, excursions, chef, massages etc. the property was exquisite! It was clean, well stocked and a great location. If we go back to Costa Rica, I’ll definitely be looking up his other properties too! We had a group of 26 people and traveling with a group that big can be very stressful but Coltin made it so easy and actually relaxing. "
