「The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!」

「Building was clean and comfortable with a/c in each bedroom. Pool was great. Staff were friendly. Good location. Some minor maintenance things like loose cabinet handles but nothing of consequence. Cookware in the kitchen was mostly functional but needs replacing. FYI - The family suites are not beach front. It’s a 5 minute walk to the other Residencias property that is on the beach. The pictures and listing description are not as explicit as about that as they should be.」

「Outstanding staff. Gave us great local recommendations and very attentive. Bungalows are clean, but simple. The property is outside the main tourist spots, but the beaches close by are even better.」

「Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality.」

「8 minutes to walk to the amazing Playa de Carrillo. This accommodation is not only perfect in its location but for everyone who would like to exit busy touristy places. The place is a 2 min walk to the ocean through a beautiful forest, straight from the property- we were going in and out in swim suits. The beach is fantastic, for surfers especially. 「Centrally located but quiet. Great staff. Beautiful pool and shared kitchen and cabana area. For the price, it’s very good/what you would expect. The rooms are simple and parts of the facility are old, but that is why it is priced more affordably than other hotels. I would definitely stay there again if I stay in the same financial bracket.
