Perfect location- charming home
Our family of four enjoyed a comfortable stay here for a wedding. With beach chairs and golf cart included, our stay was stress free for a long weekend. Would love to stay again! Thank you!

Family gathering retreat!
We rented this villa as "overflow" for a short stay at DD to attend a family reunion. It was perfectly suited to our needs! Clean, well-appointed, and GREAT location. 2 min car ride to the beach access and club. A little longer by golf cart - which is provided with the rental! Great perk! It even has a neighborhood pool close by! With only 3 bedrooms, I highly recommend this to any smaller groups of friends or family. A minor inconvenience is having to pick up the key in Pawley's Island, but if you plan ahead, it's no big deal. We look forward to staying here again sometime!

A little bit—the perfect fit!
This home, so comfortable, suited us very well. I entertained friends and found that I had good resources to do so with fun/decorative trays etc…well stocked bar glasses etc…really liked the floor plan and we made good use of the golf cart. A must have. A very enjoyable experience. Great location also!

This property is well maintained and is in a great location. The golf cart that was included with the rental worked well. We would stay here again.

Very nice
I grew up in the area and I never knew this community existed. It was very nice and quiet. My family will stay again. The only cons would be there were roaches around the kitchen table and ants in the master shower.

Thank you for your review. As a native to the area you should know that with all the rain we have had bugs will find their way into the property. All of our properties are sprayed on a regular basis and we will always respond if you let us know of any issues DURING your stay. Our records indicate that you did not call us to report any bugs but we will be sure to have the property sprayed again.

5 of us for a girls weekend and 60th birthday celebration.
The house is beautiful! Kitchen is well stocked. So handy to have the gold cart -fyi the right back tire was low so we put some air in it. Owners may want to check it. Enjoyed a perfect beach day. We were lucky and saw dolphins, alligators, deers, and many birds. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Comfortable & Covered
This property is nice, moderately clean (I had to wipe the window sills over the kitchen sink of old moths and clumps of dirt/dust). Property in need of deep cleaning and some updating. The Master bathroom has ancient toilet and shower. Bed linens in the master were very old. The kitchen was pretty much a mess in the drawers and cupboards...and yes, we do cook.. it took forever to find things. There was no teapot or hotwater pot for tea...I had to heat water daily in a saucepan. The freezer had lots of old ice stuck in the bottom. The whole house seemed like the owner has not been up to date on making sure it is presentable to renters who pay a lot of money to stay here. Also, we have been renters at Debordieu for over 20 years, but have not visited in the past 5 years. The new policy of paying 200.00 A DAY for guests to use the club facilities and then be charged for a game of tennis or fitness center in addition to that, or a cocktail at the beach is absolutely ridiculous! Membership cards were 20.00 a week and the club billed you directly for any expenses.

Great layout inside with lots of places to entertain both inside and out.
Concerned with the 350$ fee to VRBO plus how expensive the house was to rent.

Great property, but inaccurate listing
This house was a perfect location and size for my family and our sons’ two friends that joined us. The kitchen was well equipped, the living space was spacious, the outdoor deck was enjoyable, and the golf cart was very useful. The listing states that the house comes with a beach and tennis club membership. While that is correct, it does not mention that in order to use that membership, we would need to pay $200 a day in order to gain access to the beachfront pools and restaurants. That is completely false advertising and misleading, and the description needs to change so people know what they are getting when renting the property.

Thank you for your review. If you READ the description there is a statement that clearly states the property has a membership that does require additional fees. Prior to confirming your reservation you have the full opportunity to read our rental agreement which clearly states that if you stay in DeBordieu there is a $200 per day fee which you do not have to sign up for every single day or any days at all. This property is in an area of the community that has its own pool that is never crowded so in all reality you have a better deal renting this and not paying the $200 a day fee which is not collected by us but by the community. The fee is voluntary and is posted on the website for the community. Have a great summer...sorry you did not read and understand before booking.

A Relaxing Oasis
This property was the perfect spot for my family to gather for relaxation and fellowship. Spacious enough for three families to comfortably co-habitate to enjoy togetherness - without feeling on-top of each other. Comfortable beds and couches, charming decor and fantastic views from the spacious patio were a plus too. A short golf ride to the beach, we thoroughly enjoyed touring the colony (spotting gators and other marine life) and the ease of frequent beach trips. We hope to visit again.

Great week
Debordieu is an amazing place. The location of the cottage is great and it nice there is a golf cart to use even though it could use an update. The house needs a little TLC but was fine for a rental. It met all our needs and I would rent it again.

Exceeded Expectations!
Felt like visiting a family member's home and not just a beach rental. Very comfortable. Many amenities. First night televisions and internet were taken out by a lightning strike - turned out to be a blessing. Didn't have to listen to nonstop COVID blather. The owner replaced all TV's and internet within three days. Great property. Highly recommend it. The golf cart was a true asset. Able to load all gear and five people.

Great for a family
Loved the extra chain locks on doors to prevent any curious toddler from “sneaking out”! Back deck is large with a nice view. Also felt toddler safe. Easy golf cart ride to the beach. Loved this place and will come back!

Excellent location and very nicely furnished. Has everything you need. Great for our family of 6. Just trying to mention things that haven’t been mentioned yet in the reviews...there are chain locks on the doors which is great if you have a toddler. Also the back deck is very spacious and nicely furnished with a nice view, but no access to yard from there which is another great thing if you have small kids and are thinking about their safety. Currently the golf club house is open for take out and this house is located a short golf cart ride to the club house. We will be back!
