“very spacious spot in an awesome location that is walkable to food and bars. Quiet at night and comfortable beds. The back patio was awesome as well. ”

“Mark's place was clean, well stocked with towels and linens and a cool, refreshing place to rest out of the heat and humidity of DC. We recommend anyone traveling with kids or who are not used to long walks from Metro stations, to grab the bus stop on Georgia Ave. It is super close to Mark's place, and then you can take it to the Shaw/Howard Metro stop to easily navigate around DC. Mark was a very responsive host.”

“I went for a short work and leisure trip. It was perfect for me in terms of price and location. It was clean and cute, nothing luxurious but had everything I needed. Supermarkets and a variety of top restaurants are close by. Host answered my questions and kept in touch in case I needed anything. I would recommend it if you're traveling solo or with a partner. I would also stay again. Many thanks to the host!”

“This is what you always hope to get--nicely thought out and decorated, comfortable and well maintained. One caution--like most basement apartments in the area, the stairs down in are narrow and tricky. Leave the porch light on when you go out in the evening!”

“Ben and Dana are wonderful hosts! They made sure our stay was comfortable. We were welcomed by the host in front of the building. There were home baked cookies and a bottle of filtered water waiting inside. The place was adorable, newly renovated, and very comfortable. Everything was clean and ready for us. The location is great in general, but specifically incredible for us, as our adult son lives only 2 blocks away. We visit DC every year and hope to be able to book here on our yearly visits.……

“We were visiting our son who lives in Columbia Heights, literally around the corner from this place. It couldn't have been a better location or a more perfect stay. The apartment was super clean, nicely furnished, and had everything we could possibly need. We will definitely return!”

“The location was perfect for us. The rooms on the third floor were quiet and private very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. Martin, the host, was courteous and genuinely helpful. Adding another reading light so there is one for each side of the bed would be an improvement for the room. ”
