Unfortunately, I ended up being sick for a whole day and missed what the surrounding had to offer. But the hotel bed was very comfortable for me to spend the day in. “Booked for 3 ppl in room requesting 2 doubles/queens and they put us in single queen bed room, then rolled in creaky cot for the 3rd person. our son was a good sport but if i’d had to sleep on that cot my back would have been painful”

“This is a small flat on the top floor of a terrace house. Yes you can see the river just past the plumbers merchant yard and the industrial estate on the opposite bank. Access is via a very noisy shared stair case. First impressions on entering is a place which needs some upgrading and lacks furnishing - COSY it is not. The place was clean although old paint work and an excess of silicon on the shower tray gave the place a generally shabby feel. Then we opened the oven to find the grill pan had……
