“Great stay!”

“Good location. Staff was very helpful - I needed additional towels andgot them quick. Breakfast was good, healthy and well stocked and re-stocked. The person who was in charge of breakfast was very attentive to details. Plenty of parking, however if you return to hotel after 9pm, you might have only few selections left a little farther from building. We felt very safe nevertheless.”

“We've been to Auburn multiple times but this was our first time staying at Foothills and it will now be our new spot to stay. The price is affordable and the location is great. We arrived Friday night and got checked in by Glenn who was super friendly and super helpful. He gave us history of the motel and let us know about all the amenities offered such as pool, ice machine, lounge chairs by the firepit and also informed us we can go to the bowling alley where they have food and a bar. “1, NO door on the bathroom. Only hotel/motel I visited in 50 years with no bathroom door. 2, Hallway carpeting had several spots/stains on it.”

“The property has no staff or management on-site overnight. We checked in as normal but when we returned at 11 pm our room cards would not work. We rang the button outside the office - you could hear the phone ringing for two minutes, then it disconnected. Tried that more than a few times. Also called the phone number to reach the hotel several times - also no answer. Called Expedia, they could not reach hotel staff. Expedia attempted to get us another hotel room in Nevada City, no other hotels……

“It was fine if you are interested in just a room to sleep. It was clean and comfortable. But small. No dresser and no closet to put your clothes in. Came with small frig and small microwave. Very small parking lot, but your parking space is right in front of your room, so that is very convenient!!”

“Online makes it seem like a luxury hotel or way nicer than it is. The pool is TINY, the menu at the restaurant is so small and the free breakfast is pretty bad. Bagels were stale, no waffles”
