We did a lot of hiking in the beautiful surroundings, and despite the rain, the children used the pool every day and loved it.The house truly felt like home — everything we needed was there. "Clean and well-equipped for a family vacation. Located in a quiet, charming village close to Strasbourg (about 35 minutes from the park and ride). The village restaurant, within walking distance from the property, was also a great place to eat (note: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). The host was helpful and knowledgeable about the area."

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone...

"We were 24 people on a university trip and we spent 2 nights in Bussang. We were met by Murielle who gave us a tour of the house and explained how to use the kitchen appliances and where everything was kept. It snowed overnight but the house stayed warm, and we had a lovely day where we visited the Theatre du Peuple which we would 100% recommend! There is also a bakery which is walking distance from the house which many people visited."

"Such a lovely Gite, modern, well furnished, well equipped and very comfortable. There’s a near-new Weber gas BBQ for guests’ use and a superb swimming pool. There is even a lockable garage, which I consider to be essential for our convertible sports car. Our hosts, Valerie and Patrick were friendly and helpful. Location is good for exploring Alsace area being a few minutes from the very attractive Colmar and Ribeauville. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and wish we could have stayed longer. "

"The cottage is cosily furnished and well equipped, especially the kitchen. We enjoyed sunset and a glass of wine (welcome gift of the friendly hosts!) on the terras with beautiful mountain views. The children were happy to play football in the street and made friends with the neighbour's cat. It is a very good location for walking and other activities. The hostess and host are very friendly and happy to answer your questions."

"La maison était très calme, dans un village tranquille tres proche de Colmar et de la route du vin avec ses villages pittoresques. La grande terrasse est très agréable par temps chaud. Le propriétaire Vincent est un hôte prévenant et un excellent boulanger, mon mari a beaucoup apprécié son pain et moi je me suis régalée avec son gâteau alsacien, le kouglof! Nous allons garder un tres bon souvenir de ce séjour. "
