“Small room but comfortable. Oglebay is now under substantial renovation. Made things a bit inconvenient. Will be much nicer and guest friendly when the work is done. ”

“While I was checking in, the clerk answered the phone “welcome to the greatest Hampton Inn in the world. How may I exceed your expectations? “ I laughed about it at the time as the sort of thing companies teach their employees as a standard greeting. Turns out they might be right. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. The facility was clean and up-to-date. Tons of amenities. The kicker for me is when I saw a man ask the front desk person about where they might be able to buy a belt……

“The king bed room is comfortable with a nice layout. It has a sofa, table and chair, and a nice kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave and sink. ”

“The lobby was clean and inviting. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our room was great! Very clean and comfortable! ”

“Bought food for the weekend come to find out refrigerator not working. Very limited breakfast options I know it's free but other hotels at least have fruit or hot cereal packets ,yogurt and sometimes hot food other than a waffle that everyone is waiting to use”

“Staff was incredible. Hotel was a little rundown and could use some improvements. Overall a nice experience though. ”

“Quick overnight on a road trip. Front desk workers were polite. Room/bathroom had a very strong sewage odor. We sprayed Lysol and ran our air purifier but the smell persisted. Hotel was otherwise clean and quiet. Did not eat breakfast. ”

“Lots of pipeline workers stay here but never felt unsafe. Staff friendly. Some noise early in the morning with people out and about. ”

“This is our go to hotel when we are in town every few months. I don’t usually have any complaints but I do this trip. They remodeled the stuff in the rooms. We always get a 2 bedroom suite which has a living room and full kitchen. Apparently they decided to not put chairs around the dining room table anymore so you have to stand to eat. I did call the front desk and they found 2 chairs in storage but I really don’t understand why they didn’t replace the chairs or just keep the old ones. I have a……

“We were visiting family in a small town nearby that has no lodging accommodations. This was an excellent option. Friendly and welcoming staff and very clean and comfortable rooms. If you have extra time there’s lots of shopping and eating within walking distance. We 100% would stay here again.”

“Great price for this hotel! Staff was friendly with easy check in and check out. Breakfast was basic but still good from 6-9. Everything was unplugged when we got to our room but once plugged in eveybit one lamp worked. There was a different smell to the room but it could have been the cleaning products used. Overall pretty good stay for the weekend. ”
