“The room was a bit dark but perfectly adequate and had all the usual amenities-tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, water and toiletries. The atmosphere and decor in the bar was really great and the food was exceptional-this is what you should come for!”

“When we were checking out we asked the receptionist where we could buy a new umbrella nearby. She went and got us one from their lost & found collection, saying “people leave umbrellas behind in their rooms all of the time”. She saved us time and money AND saved the planet some landfill space by recycling a perfectly good umbrella! Our room was perfect, the hotel was quiet, our breakfast and dinner were very good and the hotel was within walking distance to a local pub with an “open” session……

“Free parking on roadside, food was excellent with large portions. Staff very friendly and helpful. Well worth staying here.”

“Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.”

“Most of the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately we got misinformed by a recently new member of reception. Instead of finding out the right information he told us the wrong information. Thankfully it worked out ok. An expensive error but could have been a bit worse. Josh in the bar was extremely helpful and friendly. His espresso martini was the best I have ever had. ”

“Clean room, friendly staff. A bit outside of town so that we needed to drive to a pub. But it was fun staying in a castle. I would have liked to have some info in the room about the history of the building. Maybe it was in the room and I missed it?”

“Gorgeous! The property is right on the ocean with beautiful Mountain View’s. Inside is impeccably decorated. It’s a five minute drive to an ocean cold plunge and sauna with a view of Benbulbin. The bed is comfy. As an American, the shower is 10/10 luxury, and downstairs the food is incredible. We will be back again! No notes!”

“Perfect location for several nights as homebase for sightseeing daytrips. Cozy and great amenities, although 6 adults might be tight; 4 was comfortable (we used third bedroom for our luggage). Beautiful, tranquil setting. Plenty of bath and kitchen towels; plenty of cookware and utensils; plenty of refrigerator space; easy check-in and operation instructions. Notes: 1) Listed as 2 bathrooms on Expedia, but to clarify, it is 1 toilet room w/sink, 1 shower room w/sink; 2) Some complimentary items……
