“Very clean, elegant, beautifully decorated, well stocked with everything imaginable. The host was so sweet and very attentive to all of our needs, which we didn't have any because she had thought of everything. All we had to bring with us was our clothes and bath soap because she furnished everything else including shampoo and conditioner. The host and the house made us feel like we where at home away from home. The location was perfect. It was in a quiet rural neighborhood in the country but……

“We were very pleased for the most part. The only “complaint” we had was that there was limited supplies. We ended up having to buy our own shampoo/dish rag (I like to wipe the counters down and didn’t want to use paper towel all the time) but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The house had all other amenities and very comfortable furnishings. Communication with owners was easy.”

Downtown close by, shopping and hiking trails! Connie was fantastic and responsive in a timely manner. Will definitely be staying here again for my next family visit!”

“Step back in time in New Bern and stay in this comfortable historic home. We had toyed with staying at a historic B&B and then decided to go this route and have the privacy of the whole home to ourselves. Fun 1920s feel with two bedrooms. Lovely back porch for morning coffee. Walkable distance to most things or a quick 2 to 3 minute drive to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and shops/restaurants. All photos in listing are accurate. Communication with owner was easy and prompt.”

“Very clean and is area is very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed the view of fishing boats up and down the channels. Only negative is the beds are high and if you are short it was a challenge to get into, but they were very comfortable. Would use this "casita" again.”
