“Came for my son’s wedding and stayed 4 nights. Was clean and bright. Beds were nice and soft. Neighborhood was good and quiet. We loved it and will stay again on our next visit. ”

We loved how remote and private the property was, which allowed for a super relaxing vacation. The kids enjoyed all the wildlife that nature had to offer and fishing from the beach area. “Step back in time in New Bern and stay in this comfortable historic home. We had toyed with staying at a historic B&B and then decided to go this route and have the privacy of the whole home to ourselves. Fun 1920s feel with two bedrooms. Lovely back porch for morning coffee. Walkable distance to most things or a quick 2 to 3 minute drive to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and shops/restaurants. All photos in listing are accurate. Communication with owner was easy and prompt.”

“Very clean and is area is very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed the view of fishing boats up and down the channels. Only negative is the beds are high and if you are short it was a challenge to get into, but they were very comfortable. Would use this "casita" again.”

“My husband, my daughter, and I and a friend had a most wonderful time. The cottage is so well appointed and so beautiful. If you are interested in cooking, you have a fully equipped kitchen with a really pots and pans. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and lovely and showers are great!! Being able to sit outside, either downstairs on very comfortable chaises or upstairs, looking at the beautiful view made our day! But if you want to be inside, the living room is also incredibly……

“The home was nice but I did not realize it was a condo setting. I did not like having to interrupt my stay by going to the check in office the following morning, since I did not arrive until 7 pm and they cut my door access off at 10 am the following morning.”

“We had a great time visiting family. The house is well stocked and clean. Lots of steps to get into the house and to the master area upstairs. The view is beautiful, day and night! 10 minutes to beautiful downtown New Bern!”

“The property is in a really great area. The home itself is a great place to stay for a vacation, with many beds and enough rooms. However, the bathrooms and kitchen seemed not well maintained. While we did not need to use the kitchen, we were not keen to use the Bathroom for a shower since we didnt like it . Overall good stay, except clenliness of the place.”
