“Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel ”

“Lovely country pub and stay nice cooked food and breakfast which is decent size to start your day . Rooms and nice and roomy and comfy got everything you need all clean and tidy . The rooms attached to pub are great if you’re disabled . The staff are lovely a really nice family run place so welcoming in a beautiful little village with gorgeous surroundings peaceful . Loved it will be back again .”

“Dianne went out of her way to be helpful at all steps of our stay. Great parking facilities, great shower, comfy bed. Everything needed was provided and well thought through. We were able to arrange to collect the keys early as we were due at a wedding and Dianne went out of her way to help us arrange a taxi booking to and from the venue nearby. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.”

“A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. We also enjoyed chatting with some fellow guests who were repeat visitors, which says a lot about the place. Overall, a relaxed and friendly hotel in a fantastic location, and……

“A first class property. Exactly as described and photographed. Clean, comfortable, extremely spacious for a 2 bed, including the outside space, and very well equipped kitchen. A few miles single lane riving to get there, but sat nav is exact and worth the peace and quiet!!”

“A beautiful cottage in a secluded area with lovely views of surrounding hills and forest. The photos dont do it justice, it is much bigger in reality. It is very well equipped, and beds very comfortable with spotless linen. Even in cold weather, the cottage has more than enough radiators and a very efficient log burner to keep you warm. Perfectly located for trips to kielder ; Alnwick and the coast are also within easy reach. The owner, Simon is very welcoming and a font of knowledge about the……
