“This was an interesting place. it is not a typical hotel being a 'co-living' centre with several long stay options as well as short stays. It is to the north of the city centre but within easy reach of tram and bus. The room was clean, comfortable and while not luxurious had all that could be asked. There is no restaurant or bar but the Halle Bacalan is a 10 minute walk away with a range of food bars. Breakfast is self service and fine. The staff were friendly and helpful providing advice……

“Bonjour! What a wonderful little but delightful Maison. Lovely, friendly welcome. The staff are all very friendly and professional and the house and rooms are all fabulous and especially the spiral staircase. My room was large, spacious, clean and modern with high ceiling and view over the small pool. It’s a classic small mansion style you will see in photos, almost boutique as I’m sure all the rooms are different. I came in winter so couldn’t enjoy the pool and health facilities but I’ll bet……

“As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.”

“Small boutique hotel with very friendly feel. Located about 15-20 mins walk from the old town in a quiet area. There's also a tram stop right outside which will take you to old town in 5 mins. Rooms were clean and tidy and the owner/manager was extremely helpful with local information. ”

“We stayed 4 nights there, the host & hostess showed their warm hospitality to us, made us feel like staying home & made Bordeuax special for us. We particularly liked the quality of the breakfast with the piano music background to start the day. Museum & shopping Centre are just walking distance, good enough for us to spend our leisure time in a raining day. We highly recommend this boutique hotel. Bedding is high end and comfortable. Breakfast is complimentary and served on the patio. The owner is very pleasant and hospitable. Would highly recommend. ”
