We needed one night in Hanmer on short notice. The whole village was nearly booked out and what was left available required a 2 night minimum so our options were limited. The price we paid for a studio was cheap and the room did reflect that. It was dated but comfortable, grounds are tidy and host was friendly. Clean crisp sheets (from a external laundry business assumingly) My faults would be horribly bright strip lighting, a heater not fit for purpose and dishes not clean. Otherwise ok for price point.

They were friendly and helpful but the accomodation is very tired, no sound proofing between walls, cramped and dark, lots of broken lights (which didn’t help), hasn’t been updated in decades. Kitchen was very basic with very old benchtop oven with elements on top. Not ideal for cooking. Was a wonderful location and it was the last available option in town so meant we could actually go. Don’t have high expectations.

Very small, very dated, we got what we paid for! Lack of power points, heater kept tripping off, unkempt lawns, no space in bathroom, but bed was comfy, shower was good. Not in a hurry to revisit!

The Owner was very obliging, as due to CHC being booked out & a midnight flight arrival, we knew if would be a 3am arrival. He kindly left the unit unlocked for us. While the place is showing it's age & use, it was clean & tidy, the shower was great, the sheets were clean & the beds comfy. We slept well. Would I use Larchwood Motels again? Without hesitation. It's value for money indeed. I have to say, I enjoyed teh chat with the owner teh next morning. A cheerful & kind man.

Great place to stay with family members open open and spacious. Lovely fairy garden reserve at the end of the street with a playground and lovel walking track. Short walk to the shops and Hot pools. Will definlty stay again😊
