「Visited on Monday 15 June. No staff to check in, just a door bell to security they then let you in to get your key from a key safe inside. No dinner or bar on Monday nights so went to the pub over the road. Double Room petite and bijou but adequate. Left before breakfast so did not speak to any staff during our stay!!!! On our previous visit we did have a very nice breakfast. Recommend it but don’t expect to be pampered, more like an Air B&B at least on a Monday or Tuesday.」

「Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)」

「Reception is the bar! Very pleasant and patient staff. Pricey evening meal, but a nice restaurant with a good choice on the menu. Nice gardens including a giant chess set - all very well kept. Big car park. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, but I didn't try the shower. Tassimo coffee machine. Great breakfast menu - I had steak and eggs for no supplement, which was a lovely surprise, thanks. I don't travel down this neck of the woods very often, but I'd stay again having grabbed...

「Very noisy because of the pub below so until 23:00 loud then from 05:00 in the morning music starts again and people singing so if you want to party I guess it’s the right place but if you want to rest get yourself a proper hotel room, me personally I wouldn’t go back 」

「Lovely brick building from 1902 retaining all its old charm. Now a modern pub/hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had food that evening which was very good. Wine and beer prices were quite step but that's par for the course nowadays!!! The bedroom was well appointed etc. All in all, a great stay there.」

「Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm.」

「This hotel is one of the Old English Inns. Very vintage style, clean, and comfort. If you want to try some typical English countryside, it is. The location may not suit for those don't drive.」

「Nice countryside hotel with cows as neighbours. I had a window view room all i saw was green and cows. Nuce comfortable beds. I will stay again. Plenty parking」

「A great option not that far away from London. But not on a hot day. The window cannot be opened beyond two inches and the room temperature was incredibly hot」
