“The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff was friendly. It was before Memorial Day, so the operation matched the expected occupancy. The only negative is at night the appliances' lights added a glow in the room and you could not shut the blinds enough to block all of the outdoor lighting. The operation times of the restaurants and other retail stores also reflected the off season. This is not a critique, it is just something to be aware of. It was an enjoyable stay.”

“Honestly, this was the cleanest motel I've ever stayed at. Super quaint and cute, and no trouble with our dogs staying with us for a not-so-unreasonable charge. The owners were very friendly and check in was easy. As others have mentioned, the walls are a bit thin, but at least there aren't people stomping around upstairs like at the last Marriott I stayed at (because there is no upstairs). Definitely give it a try! ”

“We visited with 5 families and the property was the perfect fit for our needs. It was very clean and the amenities are endless. There is so much room both inside and outside, a spacious commercial kitchen to prepare food, plenty of fridge space, grills outside, a fire pit and plenty of TV's for your family to watch football. ;) Our adult kids enjoyed the basketball, pickle ball and volleyball courts in addition to the kayaks. “The house was very clean and had all the amenities you need. The view of Lake Huron was amazing. It was so relaxing to be able to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Maria was a great hostess with just the right amount of contact, just checking to make sure you didn't need anything. The neighbors were pleasant and introduced themselves. The area is not a tourist trap which makes the pace a little more relaxed.”
