“Didn’t think it was worth the price, paid for a nicer room said newly renovated but we didn’t get that impression, bathroom especially”

“Breakfast is pretty basic, but the motel has beautiful, well maintained waterfront property, was perfect to watch 4th of July fireworks, it also very short ride to the town and park's hiking.”

“Pros: Very nice place in a beautiful area with large lakefront rooms a few minutes from downtown Mackinaw City. They have bonfires & smores at sunset on their beach, and a basic breakfast buffet in the morning. Cons: Room was a musty, breakfast was just ok, coffee was sub-par.”

“Stayed there twice. First time was when I got into Michigan with my daughter. Room smelled of chlorine but next to pool. No breakfast as mentioned when booking. Booked hotel for the night before I had to leave and still no breakfast. Asked about it and they said it’s under renovations. Mentioned that while booking it had breakfast included and he said he doesn’t know why it’s on there and maybe I should ask for a discount.”

“The beach area needs some love. The pool looks like it has been out of service for many years. Overall needs some TLC”

“The pictures of the property are deceiving. The property is not maintained. The 4th floor halls, gym, arcade, and common areas did not have A/C (it was hot). The room door was not fitted properly leaving a gap into the hallway. The walls were damaged. The carpet was very old and damaged. The 4th floor windows slid completely open with no fall barrier. The waterpark is for toddlers and not maintained. The outside pool was cloudy and had a very strong chemical odor (not chlorine). The place is a……

“Carpet was filthy and the room smelled terrible! I couldn’t get in the room for almost an hour, the codes don’t work! 3 other people couldn’t get in their rooms upon arrival during that time! Staff was slow to help and not concerned they leave guests locked out of their rooms for almost an hour.”

“We loved the charming setting and how most of the rooms were tucked away from the road. The grounds were clean, the grass was well maintained, and the pool/hot tub were very clean and inviting. Would stay again if in the area!”
