「The pub/hotel itself has walls of awards for food, so you can be sure of a good meal. The room itself was (I guess) a converted stable at rear of the building. Charming little room with a shower room upstairs. Very comfortable and great for what we wanted, a short break for a couple with dog. Hathersage is only 3/4 mile along the road with pavement, or alternative footpath across fields. We did the 6 mile Jane Eyre walk from the village up onto Stanage Edge.」

「Great location , friendly discreet staff . Good size rooms of a good standard and I overslept and they extended my check out by 1 hour free id charge. Amazing.! I booked it thru Hotels.com app. It's my new go to app for travel related bookings after the poor treatment I got from Booking.con who refused me a refund on a booking that I couldn't use because the owner has changed the code on the key box and not updated this information on booking.con. I will not be using them again. I can recommend...

「Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.」

「Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Food good. However, our room, No.3, was shabby, to say the least. Definitely not value for the price. Mould in the shower. Peeling wallpaper. Toilet window unable to open. Dirty carpet. Burnt arm on heated towel rail when bent down to retrieve towel from floor. No warning notice. Double wall socket peeling from wall. Dirty TV remote held together by sellotape. Small TV with poor sound. Photos support my assertions.」

「The blind bull is a little slice of luxury set in an idyllic location and providing top flight services. The food is amazing. The staff are very kind and helpful and accommodations wonderfully sumptuous. Highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.」

「Yes to bar stock and easy safe parking」

「Do not use the postcode alone as it takes you further up the road to the wrong property. Only stayed for 2 nights while we did the big hike marathon but the property was very nice, it could do with a little TLC for minor things on the decor but nothing that really bothered us. Very close to Bakewell & a lovely pub over the road with nice food & service. Bit tight on parking but we managed to get on no problem. All in all a lovely stay & would like to return again.」
