“I accidentally left in our room a package that contains all the most important things that one would carry onto the airplane, including extra cash, credit cards, inflatable pillow....etc. When I realized it was no longer with me the next day, I called the owner Julia as my last hope. She picked up the phone right away and told me that she has been so worried for me (she only had my contact information from my home country, not from the US). We drove back to pick up my package. “入住当天，老板有发邮件给我，但是我也没有看到，告知了房间号等，等我们开到了，打开房门后，确实很惊喜，因为周边没有啥吃的，老板给我们准备了泡面还有自制蛋糕等，都很棒，开车去火山公园大概15分钟，民宿旁边有个熔洞，支付10美元，老板会带你参观下，提供安全帽手电筒及讲解，虽然听不懂，但还是很好奇，熔洞不大，但确实很有意思，老板说熔洞是公众的，但是楼梯及内部的灯饰都是老板自己安装的。房间内的WIFI是没有 密码的，速度也不错哦，还有一个熔岩小景，真是很棒，下次来，还要住这里。嘿嘿”

“我們此行共有5人，入住2晚，選擇房型是Pi'i Mauna House，有2間雙人房、1個沙發床、2個浴室、2個客廳、1個廚房和戶外庭院。旅館很細心，準備了很多實用的生活用品，讓我們住的很舒適。 旅館服務人員很友善，耐心的回答我們有關住宿的任何問題。由於我們第1天晚上9點到10點之間才能check-in，旅館人員擔心我們找不到有一段距離遠的獨棟別墅，但其實比想像中好找，不太容易迷路。 早餐很豐盛好吃，服務人員很熱情，讓人感受到度假的快樂氣氛。 因為第3天我們要去火山口健行，事先向旅館餐廳訂購了早餐盒，我們分別選了火雞和火腿兩種口味的三明治，早餐盒裡除了三明治，還有洋芋片、一片巧克力餅乾、一瓶水。三明治很好吃，值得訂購，相當方便～”

“It's in a nice location if you're spending one night for visiting volcano national park, but it's definitely not okay if you want to stay longer,because it's really far from EVERYTHING. The closest downtown is 45 minutes away by driving. The room is nice but simple. The wall is so thin that I could hear the detail conversation of my next door neighbor.”

“Jon was an excellent host. Property is 200 yards from a lightly traveled riad so very quiet. Surrounded by tropical forest only 1 mile from entrance to volcanoes national park and 25 minutes from Hilo. Room was huge, about 27'x21' with a private covered deck to listen to the rain and pheasants who occupy the surrounding forest at night. Building has a sgared common area with common kitchen. We never saw another patron and Jon was discreet. Just what we needed to recharge our batteries and have……

“A nice place, but limited check in times. Property a bit remote. . Room a bit damp,,, so had to use dehumidifier (which wasn’t on the hotel description!!!!!). Not high on the list to return to. ”

“This was a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are absolutely incredible!!! The birds, frogs and insects provide such a soothing/calming background. Wandering the grounds, you can find a sitting area that overlooks a small koi pond. When I was there, there were so many flowers in bloom. I would highly recommend this as a location to stay!!”

“Beautiful location near Volcanoes National Park and Volcano Village. Quiet, rain-forest grounds with fiddleheads, ferns, anthurium on walking path to hot tub. I was traveling with my hula sister and we wanted to watch the Merrie Monarch Festival on TV. The television was old with poor reception. I tried to contact the host through VRBO but couldn't get through. Called the VRBO help line and they cut me off so we watched on my computer instead. Glad I had it with me! Otherwise a pleasant stay.”

“Very clean and simple room - quite nice. Expect the room to be super humid. There was a small dehumidifier, but it didn’t do much. The best was turning on the heater in the early morning to dry the air when the temp was cool enough. No message before arrival and no phone answer. Host responded to Vrbo messages within minutes though and gave me the information. I reserved the day before, so it could have been last minute. Didn’t use hot tub - didn’t look for it and we came back tired from the……

“Impossible to beat the proximity to Volcanos NP. The price point is fantastic relative to similar properties. The rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. Welcome treat was a great touch. The property itself was cool and definitely decorated in a unique, cool manner. But what made this place excellent were the hosts, Joy and John, who clearly want your stay to be great. And ours was.”

“The host is a great guy, very friendly and accommodating. This bnb reminds me a lot of hostels I have staying in when traveling abroad, keep that in mind and you will have a wonderful experience”
