The lodge was of a very good standard.
The lodge was of a very good standard. Pet friendly but spotlessly clean and no lingering odours. The garden was perfect, comfy furniture, gas fire pit, gas bbq, hot tub and sauna. The garden is completely fenced in so private and safe for pets and children.Parking is right outside and the access is well lit.The lodge itself was carpeted which I much prefer, especially in the winter. Lots of space and well finished. The kitchen has a washer dryer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave and original Nespresso coffee machine. It was a little oddly stocked, lots of pans and cooking trays but only two glasses and four sets of cutlery. Fine for us but if all four beds were used you’d be constantly washing up or putting the dishwasher on. Each bedroom has a massive walk in wardrobe plus a bathroom. The main bedroom en-suite is a walk in shower and then the bathroom is a shower over the bath. Lots of hot water and really good heating. The only downside for me was the bed in the main bedroom, didn’t mind that it was a standard double but the mattress was very soft and thin. The duvet was also quite small but again, that wasn’t a problem as the heating was very cosy.I did think the lodge was a little on the pricier side for a small park that was mostly closed (out of season) but we got a very good deal and honestly the running costs must be quite steep for both the lodge and the park so that wouldn’t put me off booking again.
