「This is my second stay here after an overnight stay last June. I aim to book here whenever I can going forward as it was as good if not better which was a high bar to begin with. Parking is really convenient. It was a great room with lovely air-conditioning which was required for such a warm, April day. I had a great workout in the well-equipped gym. 「Staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were good, catering for those with allergies. Lovely quiet hotel with good sized rooms. Good location for exploring other places nearby.」

「Hotel is beautiful and everything is super chic.. loved our stay, staff very helpful and the areas to chill, drink, eat and relax are good. Swam in pool and lake, also arrived to a beautiful plate of chocolates for our wedding anniversary, lovely treat.. will be back for a girls retreat next time … a wonderful stay .. xxxx 」

「Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.」

「There was a good selection at the Breakfast buffet and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. I particularly recommend the Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The room was clean. The hand shower performed badly, I found it a faff to get the temperature right and the water pressure was very poor. With no shower curtain the floor became very wet. The creaking floorboards wer atmospheric but not conducive to a good sleep especially when neighbours next door and above got up several...

「Beautiful old hotel with model dining and a beautiful beer garden. Room was great too!」

「The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.」

「Unser Zimmer war recht klein, wo gefühlt lange keine große Grundreinigung mehr durchgeführt wurde (viel Staub auf den Ablagen und kleine Dreckspritzer an der Badezimmertür). Das Frühstück war hingegen sehr gut. 」

「The food was excellent. The staff were helpful and Friendly. The room was clean, although there was no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything and the shower was leaking at the joint and the temperature control was very sensitive going from warm to very hot with just a minute adjustment.」
