“Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff good atmosphere in the bar. Food was good. Great aera for exploring. Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money.”

“We had a lovely stay in a friendly village with lots of things to do and places to eat nearby. The cottage was perfect and had everything you could want. ”

“The staff were great even though they were very busy and appear to be short staffed. One comment is that you need to be a genius to open the water bottles in the room !!! Also felt the small breads etc at breakfast were very dry . Otherwise a great stop and so loved the decor.”

“An absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Ocean. Such a lovely hotel, clean, modern and very well located on the sea front. Breakfast was really good with a great choice. My fave was the fresh fruit salad, the yogurt & compote so tasty. Although the sausages with the full English were good too! We cannot wait to go back.”

“Radiator not working so room was cold, tap on bath rattling and water spurting out took ages to fill bath. Shared room with a dozen ladybirds..canteen downstairs never open. Unlocked and unsafe left luggage hall.i came fownstairs a few times about radiator in the night and noonf on reception rang number on desk but it wasnt regonised. Reception not manned at all times.. the room was big and lovely and location good.”

“The room was very clean and tidy. On the booking it didn't say there breakfast, but when I got into the room there was a lovely breakfast bag. The car park was small but was adequate. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay there. Also the staff were very helpful ”

“We stayed one night last weekend, we had to be moved because the toilet flush didn't work but fortunately that wasn't a problem. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are far enough away from the bar so as to be quiet. Our only small criticism of room 3 is that it's in the eaves and the shower screen is fixed so it is almost impossible to turn on the bath tap without actually getting in the bath! A silly design fault. The location on the river is lovely and it was good to have a drink……
