“A great location for visiting the coast which was quiet considering how close it was to a main road. A lovely clean room with all necessary features. The breakfast was good. I would stay there again.”

“The property suited our needs perfectly and it's in a beautiful, peaceful location. We had a slight problem with the shower but reported it quickly to the owner, who was very helpful. We had a very comfortable night.”

“We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. “The hotel is old but very nicely maintained and uniquely decorated; great food in the bar/restaurant, though a bit pricey for a very small community like this. Staff are helpful as well.”

“Rooms were ok. Bathroom was dire. I’m a size 10 … any bigger and the shower would be a struggle. It’s teeny tiny. There is no rack to put your shampoo on in the shower. So you have to put it on the floor and risk hitting your head against the wall as you pick it up. Overhead drencher shower did not work so had to use the hand shower. Bathroom floor had vinyl coming up the walls, like a boat, spattered with white paint. Dead fly on bathroom floor remained for the duration of the trip. Meals were……
