“Clean and tidy room”

“We have stopped in many hotels and over the past 10 years and this is up there as an absolute delight. The staff are warm and friendly - all on duty over our stay need to be commended for their commitment to ensure guests feel looked after! The room was well equipped and we had a lovely view of the gardens. The breakfast was outstanding. A great base for travelling around Shropshire- such good value for money. Well done all ”

“Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us. The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Note - free toiletries are available at the bar, not in the room. The only things I didnt like were the stag head looming over our breakfast area and the……

“The property was new, beautiful and cleverly designed with lovely loung and kitchen bespoke for the three rooms the area is lovely as are the pub/ restaurants”

“A little remote, but in a nice environment. Nice and cosy, and run by a old couple. The only drawback for an overall top marks is because of the shower, although it is newly installed, it is difficult to operate and the water pressure is somewhat too low to have a nice shower. The worst part is the wall inside the shower cubicle is dirty but consider the old couple are working hard to run the hotel and also the nice letters restaurants, so it is not a complaint, just would like to point it……

“The room was good and the food was good. The staff were really good especially the restaurant staff. In fact, since the manager Gary has 'not' been here it's been a huge improvement.”

“Stayed a couple of nights due to its convenient location. Great to have a leisure club attached. The staff were all great, the food and bar service was good. Breakfast was nice too. My wife and I did find the bed a little uncomfortable due to it being 2 single mattresses joined together so it had a ridge down the middle. If you want to use the Spa then book early. Friday evening had an amazing keyboard player entertaining in the bar providing background music which was a nice touch. ”

“The bathroom had a gas smell in the night and the toilet in room 215 was extremely difficult to flush . Tv needs a manual and couldn’t get standard channel on but room and view was wonderful. Staff short in breakfast area . Had to wait to get sat down . N still havnt got out toast . Food was lovely when we got it though . ”
