What a fantastic stay st the AM! We were given a large house of our own with its own swimming pool! The staff were excellent and the food by chef Ana was delicious!! Fresh, tasty and she made vegan for me and healthy for my traveling partner!! The animal guides were knowledgable and we saw many animals during the morning and evening drives. Then the boat cruise through the nearby canyon was fabulous!

We had a fantastic stay at AM Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The villa is beautiful, comfortable, and provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind. What made our stay especially memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their genuine kindness and hospitality made us feel right at home. A huge thank you to Origin and Carl for our game drives – and for not giving up until we finally found the rhino! Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and determination made the experience unforgettable. We’d also like to thank Charity for being the hostess with the mostest and taking such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm hospitality. Everyone was extremely warm and welcoming. The lodge was huge, beautifully decorated, whomever curated their guest’s experience deserves a standing ovation. The food was delicious, the game drive was fun and exciting. We highly recommend as the service and experience exceeded our expectations.

I travel to so many places and this place has by far been my favorite. The staff are so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. The most unique thing about this place is that there's no menu. The staff will fix whatever you like which was amazing. The food was wonderful and the lodge was immaculate!

A nossa estada foi espetacular. Sem dúvida, um dos melhores hotéis onde já estive. As instalações são luxuosas, limpas e pensadas nos mínimos detalhes. A hospitalidade e a gentileza da equipe do hotel merecem muitos elogios. A recepção foi calorosa e completa. Com muita educação, todos oferecem cuidados constantes, sempre preocupados em manter a perfeição do atendimento. A comida é saborosa e farta. Destacamos o profissionalismo do hotest Shepherd e da chef, muito prontos para atenderem as preferências dos hóspedes. Também é digno de elogio o empenho de Benjamin e de Jamito, responsáveis pelos safáris. Eles não mediram esforços para vermos o máximo de animais. Prescilla, Origin, Jessica, Chris, Devot, Eurice, & Sk made our stay unforgettable! Everything was amazing from the home to the 5 star service! Tivemos uma experiência única porém um pouco decepcionante. A equipe foi super prestativa e atenciosa, sempre disposta a tudo que pedimos. Quarto é maravilhoso, bonito, sempre limpo e organizado. A comida muito boa, porém em fotos que vi tinha muito mais opções, como jantares externos, pausa para drinks e bebidas nos game drives, que não aconteceram nenhuma vez. A estrutura do hotel parece de um hotel que já foi 5 estrelas mas não é mais. Não tem manutenção, piscina suja, externo mal cuidado. Veículos dos game drives sujos e antigos. Aspecto de abandonado. Vimos outros hóspedes apenas no dia que chegamos, então aparentou não ter outras pessoas e, por isso, algumas vezes os funcionários queriam fazer tudo rápido, principalmente nas refeições. Confesso que pelo valor esperava algo muito além do oferecido. As fotos da área comum não condiz com o apresentado.

My husband and I recently stayed at AM Lodge in Hoedspruit, South Africa, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Cal and Origin were waiting for us at the airport when we landed, and after a short 20-minute drive to the lodge, we were welcomed with cold towels and refreshing drinks. We were given a tour of the beautiful property before being escorted to our room, which was absolutely phenomenal—luxurious, private, and perfectly designed to immerse you in the surrounding bush. Shortly after arriving, we enjoyed a game drive on the property where we saw rhinos, zebras, giraffes, and impalas. It was the perfect introduction to the African wilderness. Later that afternoon, we enjoyed spa treatments before having a wonderful dinner at the lodge. One of the things that makes AM Lodge so special is their ability to curate a completely personalized experience. The lodge arranged a full-day safari in Kruger National Park with Bush Baby Adventures, and our guide, Aurelia , was outstanding. With 25 years of experience, an incredible eye for wildlife, and a wealth of knowledge, he made the day unforgettable. We entered Kruger shortly after sunrise and almost immediately encountered a pride of lions. The entire day was magical, majestic, and truly a bucket-list experience. When we returned that evening, the lodge surprised my husband with a beautifully arranged birthday dinner. The chef prepared incredible sirloin ste

The first thing to note was that I was not informed that my room would not be near the lodge. As a solo traveler, that would’ve been very important information to know that I am not near any help if I needed it. In addition, One cannot just leave the log their lodging because you’re located in a nature reserve and it isn’t safe so you’re pretty much a prisoner at your room and you are dependent on somebody picking you up in order to get you somewhere the room itself was fine. The airport shuttle worked perfectly. The staff was hit or miss. The person in charge, Musa, was a very odd fellow. He seemed to stare and was very slow to both move and respond to questions. He did not make me feel at ease in any way, and in my opinion, should definitely not be the face of your property. The rest of the staff, while friendly, were not particularly professional. They asked personal questions and their English was not very good.

The Best Experience Ever! We Felt Like Royalty! AM Lodge totally blew us away. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly special. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are super comfortable, beautifully designed, and tucked away in nature, which made it feel really peaceful and private. The safari was amazing!! It was personalized just for us, and our guides Sbu and Benjamin were so knowledgeable and fun. We got to see so many animals up close, and experienced some amazing sunrises and incredible sunsets. After the safari, we treated ourselves to a massage at the spa, and wow… it was heavenly. Super relaxing and exactly what we needed. The food deserves a huge shout-out too. Chef Anna is incredible! Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. Honestly, some of the best food we’ve ever had while traveling. But the real star of the show was the service. Raydene and every single member of the team went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We’ve stayed in some great places before, but this was next level. If you’re thinking about booking a stay here…. do it. It’s worth every penny. We’ll never forget this experience!

I cannot express how amazing this place was. I've been all over the world, and every aspect of the AM Lodge is by far the most superior. The unique daily game drives had our Bush Bar (best bar in South Africa, thanks to Benjamin and Penwey) interrupted by a Nyala being chased by a wild dog. Literally chasing Lions led to our fantastic guides helping another group get out of a ditch. Even seeing zebras and wild buffalo ended up being so hilarious, it brought tears to our eyes! For the millennials reading this, imagine the perfect mix between Steve Irwin and Wild Boyz. Shepherd is the definition of what a proper host looks like. We had a strange request of being shuttled to a nearby tattoo shop, and they happily obliged. Our chefs made amazing food, with our only request being to show us the local cuisine. That kota sandwich and African buffet was exactly what we were talking about! Way to deliver! At no point did I ever think I was anything less than royalty thanks to the amazing staff, treatment, and accomodations. I don't know how they managed to do it, but they also made it seem like me and my father were the only ones there! As if the entire safari grounds were just for us (even though, they obviously had other guests). I hope to have the chance to visit again. If any guest is considering a safari, the search ends here.

I have not left a review for anything in a long time, but AM Lodge absolutley deserves a great review. I read a couple of previous reviews that made me hesitant, but the record needs to be set straight. I stayed Mar 14 - March 16 of 2025 and it could not have been a better experience. I was first greeted at checkin by Raydene, Chris, and Musa. They had a non alcoholic mixed drink ready and waiting for me, a hot towel, and Raydene began explaining the structure of the lodge. They honestly made me feel like roylaty, and I had never felt that before. Raydedne broke everything down and answered every question I had, even the stuff I had texted about before arrival. I later met Brandon, the chef of the lodge. Every meal he prepared was like it was hand made at a luxury 5-star restaurant. I honetly could not have asked for better food, and he even adjusts the menu based on pretty much anything you want. Later in the afternoon, it was time for my game drive. Chris walked me to my private lodge and from that moment on, was immediately available for anything I needed. The lodge itseld was a massive 1,615 sq ft building and I had it all to myself. It is so secluded and private that you are entirely in personal peace whether you are inside or outside of your building. I got a private game drive with driver Benjamin and our tracker Bali. Im only allowed 1500 characters so I had to delete the rest of my review. In short, I would absolutely stay here again and upgrade to the superior suite

First of all the staff here is amazing, from Itu at the front desk to our awesome guides/ranger Jeffery and Grandpa, and the wait staff wants nothing more than for you to be happy! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We stayed in the Superior for 7 days, we had 7 days of adventure. It was beautiful, exciting, lavish, and challenging at times. It is Africa and not the Crown Plaza. That is the reason we came here and we were rewarded with a lifetime of memories. You are away from the lodge and secluded which we loved. You do need a ride to the main lodge. The baboons love to come through in the morning and in the evening, we loved it every time! I miss everyone there, they treated us like family the entire time.

The best safari resort

Beautiful room, essentially it’s a whole structure to yourself that includes an outdoor shower. Every meal was five stars. Every game drive was amazing. Every worker was beyond kind and welcoming. This is easily the nicest hotel/resort I have ever stayed at.
