"Breakfast, indoor parking and quiet clean room"

"The room wreaked of cigarette smoke including towels and bedding. There was portable heater to heat the room. There was a big party across the hall that kept up us up all night. They were yelling and fighting in the hallways, along with kicking in doors. Highly don't recommend staying here. My children woke to yelling and fighting and were scared. "

"This is my favourite kind of hotel. Run by a hard-working family, who have obviously upgraded and brightened every aspect of this older hotel. The decor is so unique and cheery in the lobby and restaurant. My room had all new furniture and beds, was freshly painted and extremely clean. The restaurant serves the usual Canadian fare but I selected the other option and enjoyed delicious a curry supper. This is not a high end hotel, but it doesn’t cost $150 a night plus parking either. Keep that in mind 😉 The staff are the best I’ve encountered in some time. I’ll stay here again! "

"Heating/AC system did not work. Overnight we got insanely hot. Set the temp to 16°, yet woke up and it was 27° in the room. Other than that, it was great! Amazing pool, good room. Parking was expensive for just one night."

"I personally enjoy staying at this hotel, and often recommend it. The staff have been friendly and helpful any time I've stayed. The elevators are quick and always in order. The rooms feel clean and fresh. I would say the rooms could potentially be incrementally cleaner, however I do residential cleaning for a living and tend to notice things most people might not (dust on an obscure surface or streaks on a mirror for example) and being aware they have a lot of rooms to clean, I do not expect them to be pristine by any means. They are plenty clean and comfortable. There was a minor issue with the handheld shower in the room I was in where it had come unscrewed and sprayed water everywhere when I turned it on, but otherwise the bathroom was a good size, everything was in working order. Showers have good pressure and I appreciate the options of overhead or handheld shower heads. The bed is comfortable. I noticed when adjusting a corner of the sheet that there is a zippered mattress protector encasing the mattress, with another removable/washable one on top of that. Very nice touch. The pillows were great, they provide both soft and firm options. Plenty of parking around the property, although the parking out front can be limited at times. There is a very large parking area at the back. I find the location to be quite good, it is quiet and slightly out of the way with tons of shopping and dining options within a short driving distance. "
