“Clean room”

“We stayed at this beautiful cottage last weekend and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owners were incredibly helpful, especially when we let them know we wouldn’t be arriving until midnight — they couldn’t have been more accommodating. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning, set in a fantastic location with truly amazing views. We loved the peace and quiet, and it was the perfect place to switch off and unwind. One thing that really stood out for us was just how……

“Very centrally located hotel.”

“A gem of a BnB. From the warm friendly and welcoming greeting on arrival, through to the wonderful tasty breakfast in the morning. We only stayed one night, but were made to feel so at home. The rooms and amenities were lovely and clean, with well considered playful decor. The bed was also really comfortable. The full breakfast was a beast a bit much for us but you could pick what you wanted so we went with just bacon, sausage and eggs with toast. It was cooked perfectly and the ingredients……

“In general hotel out of date. No central heating. Electric heaters in the room. In a bath in 2 taps hot water - no cold 🙄😀There was at least 3 inches of dirt on the window ledges on the stars. Breakfast mini portions and one glass of juice. Max 1 star hotel. 1 star for clean room. Never again. ”

“The bathroom lock door is non-existent and broken. There are some stains on the carpet. Quite disappointing that there is no mini fridge in the room. ”

“So far everything nice in Grains Bar Hotel. Just light so dark ”

“This place is fine, but not great. Whilst it has lots of character, the weak and unpredictable shower was a definite detractor for me, and the bed was oddly short so me feet were off the end. Rooms were well appointed, but a few dubious carpet stains made sure you knew they'd been occupied before.”

“We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect. ”

“Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep. Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room.”

“Absolutely charming! The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. ”

“Tout l’hébergement. J’ai fait une demande d’annulation car je ne pouvais pas partir mais je n’ai eu aucune réponse. Très décevant venant d’un hébergement comme celui-ci ”

“The apartment was lovely and spacious and very well equipped. The bed was very comfy and the furniture in the apartment was of a very good standard. We made full use of the welcome pack. The booking in procedure was easy to understand and Haley explained everything very well. The parking was good and very safe.”
